Founded in 1995 by Jamie Smith and Stefan van Staveren, Xylem Inc. started as a hobby and a necessity for two handy college students. Building furniture to place in our dorms seemed to be the best way to have a place for the TV and stereo equipment. Soon it was coffee and end tables.
