He has completed electrical, plumbing, flooring, ceramic tile, finish carpentry and of course cabinets and countertop work. In the last 10 years he has specialized in kitchens. This specialty has resulted in vast experience in the kitchen design process. He can help you design your kitchen and avoid problems before they are problems.

If you are changing the layout of the room, make sure you indicate where the electrical and plumbing will be located. Review your layout again to make sure they have been located correctly. Take your rough drawings to a professional. Let them assist you with the fine tuning of your design. If you don't feel confidant in this process, have a skilled professional designer or contractor assist you.

Thank you Darby's Cabinets for you condescension and utter lack of customer service. Darby's has the worst business hours I've ever seen making it very inconvenient only being open 4.5 days a week. Darby's also doesn't provide the option to pay by credit card--join the rest of the business world in the 21st century! I'm a first time home buyer and new to ordering custom cabinets.
My real estate broker had assisted me with the measurements. Apparently, I have a "non-standard" ceiling which required a smaller cabinet. The company was going to charge me without even contacting me first, no phone call or email (the cabinets are non-refundable). I called to find out why and received very little explanation and what explanation I received took three weeks to get by email.
The unnecessary cabinet was returned and will be sold on consignment but when I asked more questions I received a drop of the head and a sigh like I was making ROBERT work harder than he wanted to. His partner in crime sitting behind the desk playing Candy Crush decided to invite himself into our conversation in the attempt to team up on me which I didn't appreciate in the least. Customer service is what keeps customers coming back! I suggest you learn it before your business goes under. PS--I'll be taking my counter top order elsewhere.

There is such a thing as tact and customer service; unfortunately, this owner does not believe in such things. Honestly, I would not recommend this place for anyone to come and get their cabinets there. If they have such a atrocious attitude selling you the cabinets, imagine the attitude they will have if a problem arises. Go to another small business that is actually worthy of your business. Also, don't go there if you don't want to be talked and looked down upon. Additionally, If you are hispanic please do not go there, this is based on our experience and what we saw at the front door.
I sure hope that he did not treat us badly because we are hispanic and according to his prejudices we can never afford anything nice, this stems from some comments that he made toward us. Why settle for a Chevy (actually worst than that, it's an insult for Chevy to be compared to them) customer service, when you can have a Ferrari customer service somewhere else. Si eres hispano por favor no vengas este local, ve a otro lugar donde si te van a tratar con respeto. La persona que nos atendio fue muy grosero con nosotros, tratamos de ser amables con el, pero el nunca cambio su actitud tan fea. Espero que no haya sido por que somos hispanos, pero basado en algo que vimos en la puerta de enfrente puedo decir con seguridad, que lo mas seguro que nos trato asi por prejuicios que el tiene contra nosotros. Ojala que todos vean esta critica antes de ir a ese lugar.

This location has more than one cabinet seller. Robert owns Darby's Cabinets and his location is on the back wall, not next to the front door. While it's possible he or his employee (female) were unable to attend to the 1 star customer because they were on the phone with another customer, that is something that happens in any store. I agree, often I do have to wait five minutes, though fortunately I have always been acknowledged with a nod or wave.
When it is my turn, I have received excellent service. I renovate houses and have bought many kitchens from Robert. He always double checks my plans, makes suggestions, and has helped me make cost conscious decisions. While this store is not fancy, that means the prices are good. I buy the Aristokraft cabinets in all their colors and they have held up well in my rental properties.
Since tenants are not always as careful as homeowners might be, I've been impressed with the durability. And on the few occasions when it's been necessary, I've been able to get replacement doors quickly through Darby's Cabinets. My older sister bought a nicer line of cabinets for her personal home from Robert, and has also been quite pleased. She didn't know that I already used him, and recommended him to me!

We have been buying cabinets from Nolan when it was called Cabinets Now for years. Apparently this business changed hands and now the customer service is terrible. I was trying to manage two small children and bring in a sample to match and the employee that sits by the door was completely not helpful. Not only did he not help us but I set the sample against one of the cabinets and he kept yelling at us in an unprofessional manner.
Instead of helping us find the cabinet pieces that we needed he refused to help us, then sent us to another person who was on the phone and they didn't even acknowledge that we were there. My advice is to support another small business that cares about their customers. We finally walked out.
