Being a construction manger, I have worked with Amir at Kuche Cucina for years. I recently had the pleasure of doing my own kitchen with them and it was as wonderful experience as the homeowners I work with have said. He and his staff provided professional service and innovative ideas to create a dream kitchen for me and my family. The knowledge and variety they offer is second to none. Thank you!

We worked with Kuche + Cucina for a kitchen remodel in Manhattan and also worked with another renovation group for the rest of the apartment. We really enjoyed working with Carmi to establish the design and that process was very painless and flexible. We were set to start on renovations in early 2020 however with COVID, we had to delay our renovations due to the building's policy. Kuche+Cucina was super understanding and held our cabinets for us until we were ready and felt comfortable with proceeding with renovations given the circumstances. However, the main reason that this is a 3 star review is that we definitely had some issues working with the renovation coordinator.
Though I think we were all in unfamiliar waters with the pandemic I definitely felt like there were quite a few times when the ball was dropped on their side. For example we weren't told in advance that our contractor would need to move certain outlets in order for the cabinets to be installed even though we had asked explicitly beforehand if there was anything that needed to be done in advance.
This caused delays in the whole process and required the other renovation company to schedule last minute changes around them which luckily they had no issue with. There were also multiple times that we were asked for information in an urgent manner that we had already provided prior which made the process quite stressful. In addition it seemed like coordination between Kuche+Cucina and the actual workers was a bit messy and just confusing in general.
We would be asked one thing by the workers and be told by Kuche+Cucina to just not worry about it. But then later it would come up as a last minute problem and Kuche+Cucina seemed just as confused as we were and said that this was an issue with the contractors rather than take responsibility for their poor communication with their contractors. I expected a profession kitchen renovation company to be more organized especially for a relatively straightforward cabinet installation.
Some requests were also totally ignored. For example, we requested that a soap dispenser hole be made in the countertop we ordered and received confirmation from the group but no hole was ever made. It's not really a huge deal to us but it's definitely just one example of many small communication issues that we had with Kuche+Cucina and the communication between them and their contractors.
Meanwhile the other renovation company that we worked with for the rest of the apartment work was super communicative and easy to work with even when we hit unexpected road bumps. Since all this occurred during an unprecedented pandemic I would take our experience with a grain of salt but we probably wouldn't choose to work with Kuche+Cucina in the future.

So we are building a house. We were in the market for counter tops. We were building in the area so we went in. I don't remember the occasion but I was in jeans and a sweatshirt and my wife in Yoga pants. The blonde haired saleswoman asked us what kind of cabinets we had and she said "oh i wouldn't tell people that, they are cheap" then she immediately became disinterested and just let us kind of wander.
Then she got another worker a dark haired woman who said "you can still make your house look nice even though you don't spend any money" and made some reference about "making it yours no matter how small the budget." We are a young family building our first home and they totally demeaned us and treated us poorly. Little do they know we spent a considerable amount on our kitchen and they missed out on a potential sale. Can't judge a book by its cover and people should be treated well no matter how much they THINK they can spend. Do not recommend. I think this might be my first negative review and this happened months ago but they were so out of line.

For the last 10 years, my wife was asking for her new dream kitchen. We asked our trusted contractor Mike K. for the best kitchen designer in the area. He recommended a couple of kitchen contractors but indicated that Kuche+Cucina designer is the best one in the Bergen County area. We called the owner, Amir Ilin, directly and dealt with him during the whole process.
He asked about our budget (app. 50-60K) and explained how we will work with these numbers. He explained type of cabinets, counter tops and accessories we could afford. He also explained that if we needed an electrician, plumber or handyman (to remove old cabinets), he could provide his own trusted contacts. He assured us that he would guide us thru the whole process. Now, the best part - he guided us through the whole process of our remodeling.
We started the project in September 2019 and finished right before New Year's Eve, 2020. And we were able to squeeze in 3 weeks of vacation time as well. In other words, we delayed the project ourselves. During this time, we had some minor issues (missing cabinet parts, wrong color handles, and mysterious spot on counter top). But Amir was on top of every single issue himself, calling manufacturing companies directly demanding immediate responses.
Every single issue was resolved in a quick manner. Amir was always available to resolve any issue or question that came up during the project's execution. Would I recommend Kuche+Cucina and Amir to my friends or family for kitchen remodeling? Yes, I definitely would. He is not the cheapest kitchen designer in Bergen County, but you get a lot for your money - professional design, a ton of experience, a reliable company and honest advice. Simon I. and Galina K.

Kuche-Cucina created a beautiful design and installation for our kitchen. They worked with my wife on a design that she loved and helped select the look that she was going for. The installation was very professional. Kuche-Cucina made our kitchen renovation easy and it came out amazing! Highly recommend them.

I had high expectations for how our kitchen would turn out and it has truly exceeded our expectations and the credit goes to the experts at Kuche Cucina. They helped with every detail and gave expert advice that averted all kinds of mistakes. Everything Amir recommended was spot and actually perfect. He realized our natural lighting was very limited and came up with the fantastic idea of placing windows for the back splash which added the perfect touch and everyone who sees the kitchen LOVES it. Highly recommend them, they will not disappoint!

We were just going to look. to get some ideas flowing. The kitchen was the final project to our full house renovation. Angelo was very helpful, he remembered me from a previous visit over a year earlier. I expressed to him what we were looking for and he guided us to the perfect product, Pedini, while a little over our budget we decided to put a deposit down that day because we felt it was the best solution for our needs.
I was able to custom design everything, including the interiors and lighting. We hired Kuche Cucina to install the cabinetry as well, during the process I realized a mistake I had made in design but the installer was crafty enough to resolve the issue within a day. I am very pleased with the outcome, and they were incredibly responsive with all my questions, concerns, changes etc. I highly recommend Kuche Cucina and have already referred friends.

We fully remodeled our house with a "Contemporary Style". We ordered Cabinets for our entire house- Kitchen cabinets, Bar cabinets, vanities and wall cabinets. The Kitchen looks Amazing! Actually all the cabinets looks Amazing. The quality is top of the line. The design is one of a kind. I get so many compliments from friends and visitors. A few professional carpenters that came to my house to do other work, told me that the quality is very high. The cabinets makes the entire house looks so elegance and impressive. Be expected to get the highest quality of design. Highly recommend!

Redoing a kitchen after 30 years is stressful enough. As an architect with over 40 years of experience I knew what was ahead. Working with Carmie Gessner, Amir Ilin, and Rissa Privitera reduced the stress and provided my wife and I with an amazing kitchen. Knowing there will be problems with any construction project, I appreciated how responsive they were to solving the problems quickly and without issue so that we are delighted with the new kitchen. We also found their installers were amazing craftsmen who completed the design and brought it to life. We are delighted. Allen Weitzman, Architect

Normally I'm very hard to please since I notice even the slightest imperfections but I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship and detail. I waited a little longer than I expected but my wife can't stop talking about how great the kitchen turned out. I was referred to the owner Amir by a close friend and he came through.

To start off, I went based on some recommendations, and being from the immediate area, looking for a local business. I will say that was not very verse on kitchen remodel / cabinetry and wanted to really speak with someone about the process. I was greeted professionally and was asked what I was looking for. After a short conversation we decided on a cabinet line, with a budget of approximately $20k.
I had my kitchen measurements with me and was really hoping for some guidance on a layout. I was told that would not be a problem, left the measurements to come back in a few days to look at what our options were. This first experience was pleasant. A few days later, I went back based on a call that my layout is ready. When I went back we sat down to review the layout, I was given a price quotation, which was a range of approximately $10,000.
We spoke about the pros and cons of the layout, since this was a new process to me, I was asking many questions. After each question, the responses were more and more condescending, short, and borderline rude. I attribute this to the representative asking me to put down a retainer to move forward. I was completely honest and said that I would not be making a commitment today as I wanted to get my wife's and architect's opinion on the layout, and that the price needs to be more exact.
At that point the response was "I don't understand why people don't commit and put down a retainer", "I don't understand why you need to think about it, what is there to think about", "If you put down a retainer we will get everything done and make sure it's to your liking." I was shocked by the way I was being pressured. The representative further stated "I've done kitchens for $60, $70, $100k" and proceeded to show me pictures of completed kitchens to show the great work that has been done.
I stated that while $20-25k may be a small amount for you, it's a big decision for my family and I take offense to being pressured. I kept my composure asked a few other questions and politely said that I would speak with my wife and get back to you. The representative did not even get up, walk me to the door, or move from the office when I was getting ready to leave.
In short, while they may do some great work, I would not do business with them based on the experience I had. After that encounter, I went to 3 other mid-range / semi custom cabinet stores and received 10x the attention and courtesy that I received from Kuche-Cucina.

We purchased a new house in Tenafly. After researching all the options for a European style modern kitchen in the Bergen County and New York City area, we ended up going with Kuche Cucina - they had a great product selection (incl. Pedini, that we fell in love with), knew exactly what we were looking for and. had many great reviews, from other clients online!
From the minute we stepped into the Paramus showroom, we've been treated with professionalism and attention to every detail of our project. This is not our first kitchen and we had a good benchmark - Kuche Cucina raised the bar! We chose a high end modern, minimalist kitchen (white lacquer, frosted glass, etc.) and were very pleased with both the product, installation and overall value.
During the installation their installer realized that one of the aluminum trim pieces was about 3 too short. We were most impressed that Kuche Cucina arranged for a new piece to be air freighted within 3 days - from Italy! We highly recommend Kuche Cucina!

We designed our new kitchen with Kuche Cucina and couldn't be more happy with it. It is by far my favorite room in my new house! Every detail is completely customized to our liking. I am so grateful for the help of Amir and my designer from My Design LLC, for creating our dream kitchen that we will be cooking in for years to come!
