From the moment we met with Jeff at Kitchens Plus, we felt totally comfortable and at ease with him. He was attentive to our ideas for our kitchen remodel and mindful of our budget at the same time. Using the space we had to work with, he designed a very functional and aesthetically beautiful kitchen for us. He communicated with us on an ongoing basis, keeping us informed about the schedule, schedule changes and timeframe for each phase of our project, updating us as to when we could expect our cabinets and when we had to have certain items purchased and have available for the contractors to install.

He along with the other contractors he worked with on our remodel always showed up on time, were friendly and professional. We want to also thank Mike and Loretto for their hard work, attention to detail and advice we would ask them along the way. We just completed our second project with Kitchen's Plus. They are a quality company that does exceptional work. We especially enjoyed working with our designer Jeff. He kept us informed and on time. If we had a need, he worked with us to facilitate a positive outcome. Once our project was complete, Bonnie kept us informed about the schedule for the photographer to take pictures. Three years ago Kitchens Plus did a great remodel on our Kitchen, Bathroom and Fireplace hearth, please see previous review. We're still very impressed with how well it all turned out. Recently, we found a problem with the white paint flaking off from the kitchen cabinet doors. This was not an issue with Kitchens Plus at all, but with the out of state cabinet makers finish. Unfortunately, we had to deal with a lot of back and forth with the cabinet maker and a lack of willingness regarding warranty coverage. Matt Barns and his staff at Kitchens Plus really stepped up and went to bat for us.

In the end, the cabinet maker covered the replacements doors, however, Matt stepped up again and provided the labor to install the new doors when the cabinet maker should have covered this cost as well. Again, Kitchens Plus has demonstrated a firm commitment to quality workmanship (Acxel did great both with the original project and the replacements), and commitment to integrity in how they run their business, and how they treat their customers.

I definitely will be hiring them for future home remodeling projects. In all fairness, the cabinets were of good build quality, however, the flaking finish, and reluctance by the cabinet maker to cover a warranty issue will likely make me consider one of the other cabinet lines at Kitchens Plus. We were extremely pleased with our kitchen remodel that Kitchen Plus did for us this year. They are the WHOLE package with the General Contractor (Matt), Certified Kitchen Designer (Sarah) and a California licensed architect. This made everything so much easier for us. Matt and Sarah were amazing, they listened very carefully to what we wanted and created a plan and design that we loved and fit our budget.

It was a very extensive remodel with moving walls, shrinking the size of a powder room and needing a bigger footing because of a new 6 foot pop-out window, but they handled it all smoothly including the proper permits. The crew was great, always on time, hard workers and cleaned up at the end of each day:) We get so many compliments on our kitchen and will continue to refer them to others. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Let me start of by saying I LOVE my kitchen! Kitchens and bathrooms in my opinion are two crucial areas on a home you cannot cut corners on. Trying to find a good company was a bit challenging at first until I came across Kitchens Plus. (I found them through a neighbor). From the moment I stepped in I knew this would be the place. Let me begin by saying it is a very organized business, with a very clean showroom and they have so many options! Sarah was able to come to my home, take measurements, asked what I had in mind and went back and created a design for us.

I was so blown away by her design that it almost seemed unreal that my kitchen could look like that. Moving forward, we decided this would be the place we would trust to do our kitchen remodel. Matt the owner is awesome! He runs a very tight ship. He listens to what you have to say and makes sure to check in during the whole process. I think this speaks volumes when an owner can take the time to check in and make sure everything is running smoothly.

His team was on time, everything was done on schedule and the outstanding workmanship is by far some of the best I've seen. My kitchen turned out amazing. It looks just like the rendering Sarah made for me if not better! I without hesitation would refer anyone to Kitchens Plus. Kitchen's Plus made my dream kitchen a reality. It turned out more spectacular than I ever imagined. Mike's craftsmanship was impeccable and his suggested ideas were always helpful. Matt, Kitchen's Plus owner, provided great communication on all aspects of the job. The work area was cleaned each day. Work was completed in a timely manner and at a fair price. I strongly recommend Kitchen's Plus for any remodeling effort.

We contacted Matt Barns and talked about my kitchen renovation I have been working on. Matt and Sarah came to our house to look at what we have to work with. They asked what kind of requirements we had and what we liked and don't like. A week later Sarah had a couple of designs, and I must say that she nailed it! Once we got the final measurements for the cabinets we were set.

Now we had A LOT of cabinets going in. So about 6 weeks later they were delivered. Now the transformation begins. And what can transformation it was. Mike is the MASTER installer. Well that's the title I gave him. Came in and did his thing. His craftsmanship is 2nd to none. I was so impressed with his work. The time Mike spends to make sure everything is perfect is super appreciated.

Now I have to tell you, I'm extremely anal when it comes to finish work. Mike met and exceeded our expectations. There were a few things that came up that were no fault of Matt or Mike. They handled with no problems. Working with the Kitchens Plus team has been a great experience and I will use them again when my next project comes up.

We have used Kitchens Plus for remodels twice now. Both times we have been incredibly pleased with the results. We whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone who wants a great quality team working on their house at a fair price. Our first remodel was a kitchen, and second was a master suite with new bathroom from the studs up. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

We've had Kitchens Plus do two projects at our home, and were extremely happy both times. We recently asked them to completely renovate a 900 sq ft condo. They were not our lowest bid for this job, but we knew that they would provide high quality work, would be easy to work with, and that their bid would be realistic. They removed the (old, inefficient, and gross) kitchen and started from scratch with a new layout.

Not only it is a beautiful kitchen, worthy of a gracing a magazine cover, but the layout makes sense and people can actually use the kitchen. The (tiny) bathroom also got a makeover, with a beautiful new tiled walk-in shower with a fold-down bench in place of a tub/shower combination. New cabinets all around, new flooring, new paint, new door hardware, new kitchen and bathroom - and the condo is beautiful!

And that huge renovation was done on time and was only $500 over the initial bid! Needless to say, we are extremely happy and will have no hesitation in using Kitchens Plus again.

We would like to thank Matt Barns and his incredible team on the kitchen we now enjoy. Matt, the owner, spent time with with us on our design and explained in detail how the process and schedule would work. His crew was a pleasure to have around. From the moment we started working with Kitchens Plus, their entire staff were wonderful and professional. Few companies are willing to talk design and offer preliminary drawings before you pay a hefty fee. Not these guys! Kitchens Plus came out, offered a comprehensive drawing and worked with us to make sure we were happy before they started work.

They are a one-stop-shop that can help you from start to finish. Kitchens Plus took great care to do excellent work. Everyone they sent out was respectful and worked hard with a finished product that they would want in their own home. We highly recommend Kitchens Plus for your remodel needs. We have just finished a second remodel with Kitchens Plus. Two years ago they did our kitchen, and they have just finished a master suite with total new bathroom for us. It is exquisite, just what we wanted, and we are totally in love with how it looks and works. The craftspeople they use, the care they take with your house, and the way they come through on whatever needs doing sets them apart as people you want to work with. We highly recommend them, and will use them again if we ever need to remodel anything else. They are the best.

We hired Kitchen's Plus upon the recommendation of our son who was very pleased with the remodel they had done for him. We had them convert an out building into an accessory dwelling unit, with a bath and small kitchen. We can't say enough wonderful things about Gary and his crew. The tile work was perfect, and their attitude was always wanting things to be perfect, and for us to be happy.

That we are! I can't say enough good things about them. They started on Nov 1. They stripped it down to the studs, put in a brand new foundation, took out the existing ceiling and roof, and put in a new bath and kitchen. We got our final on Valentine's Day. They showed up and worked hard Mon- Friday. Thank you Gary, Marco and Jake for a stress free project!

Kitchens Plus finished our concurrent kitchen and bath remodels in late August last year. So why wait nearly five months to write a review? We wanted to live with our beautiful new kitchen and bath for awhile to be sure the new functionality and usability would prove itself on a daily basis. Well, I can tell you that thanks to owner Matt Barnes and his Kitchens Plus staff our satisfaction is complete.

The effectiveness of our kitchen design proves itself day in and day out. Mike and Loretto were the guys doing the majority of the work and I commend their workmanship. Mike was the lead man and his particular attention to detail certainly resulted in a better job. They were always on time, patient when we interrupted with questions, and cleaned up every day.

My wife and I were rather particular on a number of things but Matt never blinked. He delivered on his commitment to resolve any concern we had. He stated that he believes "there are no problems; only challenges." Good attitude. He came by almost every day and always made us feel like he had nothing but time for us. He returned phone calls within a reasonable period of time.

Any contractor is only as good as his or her last job and Matt understands this. We will not hesitate to use them again. Call their La Mesa office and ask for pictures. Ours was not a particularly large job; but then job size doesn't matter when it comes to customer satisfaction. Kitchens Plus did an excellent job for us; I'm sure they will for you, too.

We hired the Kitchens Plus team for a recent kitchen remodel in spring 2016 & we couldn't be happier with the entire process. The project started when the designer, Stefanie, came to our house and put much time & effort into a design that incorporated our wants and needs. Her experience in the design aspect opened our eyes to ideas that we never would have considered.

The owner, Matt, oversaw the entire project & would stop in often to check on progress & our satisfaction level. One of their general contractors, Axcel, was solid in the day to day work that he put in & was always considerate of our home & his work ethic. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience from top to bottom & would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a home improvement project.

We wholeheartedly recommend Kitchens Plus for a kitchen remodel. Dennis was very generous with his time during the design stage, and he had excellent ideas on how to re-design our kitchen. In the work stage, our crew was always onsite when they said they would come, and they never left in the middle of the job to attend to some other job. Their work was excellent, and they went the extra mile to do work that was careful and skillful.

Our kitchen was always swept and vacuumed at the end of the day. Matt, the head contractor and owner, carefully evaluated our project before we signed the contract and also came to our site many times the make sure everything was according to plan. Everyone with Kitchens Plus was very professional and pleasant to work with. We had also considered another firm that is in Angie's List, but decided on Kitchens Plus because they were so helpful in the design phase and their price was reasonable.

We hired Kitchen's Plus for a complete remodel of our kitchen and a bathroom earlier this year. The engagement started with several design meetings and multiple drawings were presented for various options and layouts. We were very impressed with the detail of the drawings, and selected a design that was exactly what we wanted. Any kitchen remodel is going to be an inconvenience, but Kitchen's Plus made it as painless as possible for us.

They prepared a timeline, stuck to it, and finished on time. They were within budget, and any items that we added were detailed in advance. Their extensive experience is critical in a kitchen remodel. Owner, Matt, is an excellent manager of the various trades required. He also has a hard working staff, and he was regularly at our jobsite to supervise and answer questions. Definitely recommended.

We had a great experience with Kitchens Plus in La Mesa. (There is also a showroom in Miramar). They remodeled our kitchen in about 6 weeks in Sep-Oct 2008. We checked out 4 other cos before finally settling on this one. What really sold us was the designer, Karen. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. (We met with one pushy "designer" at another co during our selection process and that was quite a turn-off!) She was open to our concerns (budget, space constraints, special requests) right from the get-go. Gary (the project mgr?) was also easy to work with, always checking in on the job, and responsive to phone calls and queries.

They helped ensure that our appliances arrived at just the right time and Karen saved us money on a higher end counter top by finding us a beautiful remnant. We had a few minor issues with cabinet doors and wall baseboards (we asked them to come back to seal it to the floor with caulk) but these were handled quickly. We are very pleased with our kitchen and would not hesitate to recommend Kitchens Plus.
