The powder room needed a new vanity but our previous cabinetmaker had retired and left the area. We found Westrup Woodworks on Yelp, made contact, visited their shop and were very impressed. Working with Ron and Dean was a breeze. They asked for photos, understood our vision and made helpful suggestions. Their craftsmanship is impressive, high quality and amazing.

They sent us to Luis their finisher, who patiently worked with us to get exactly the color tones and look we had in mind. This project could not have gone smoother and we could not be happier. Our custom vanity is beautiful and a real piece of art. We highly recommend Westrup Woodworks!

Before moving to Huntington Beach, we gutted our new (to us) beach home. Unfamiliar with the area, our real estate agent recommended a local "cabinet man" for our kitchen & office cabinetry. The cabinets' exterior looks great, however the drawers were made of particle board type material that "looks like" wood! By accident, water got into a kitchen drawer; upon discovery the wood had expanded and the drawer would no longer close.

The "cabinet man" was a broker, no longer in the area, nor employed by the out-of-state manufacturer who would not assist us! This was our third kitchen remodel. Sadly, we were not given a choice of wood material for the drawers and never would have "gone with" disastrous particle board. A "handyman" neighbor recommended Westrup Woodworks to us. Repairing inferior products is not their business; most luckily, understanding our plight, the Westrup's helped us.

By the date promised, they had fabricated a new maple wood drawer, with dovetail joints, to the exact dimensions required, affixed the original face of the drawer and it fit perfectly for a reasonable price. They truly FAR exceeded our expectations.they'll do the same for you.

Greatest cabinets we have ever had installed! We had Dean out to make us a custom cabinet in our hallway! The whole process was seamless, one day for measurements, we waited a few weeks while he made the cabinets in his shop, then one day for installation. I can't wait to remodel our kitchen, just to have Dean come out and build something special. We are very thankful for his design work, staying on schedule and the beautiful design of our cabinets. Our cabinet guy for life - thank you!

I had a very small project - getting 2 European hinges installed on a cabinet door that was previously a drawer front. Some of my kitchen cabinets had just been reconfigured for a new wall oven unit, and we needed that door so it would cover the new opening left above the oven. Sounds simple, but finding someone who would drill the door for the hinges, without destroying the only door panel we had, was not easy.

I was quite anxious about it because the cabinets are custom, and we could not easily get a match if this door/drawer front was destroyed. Ron and Dean saved the day! Ron also very patiently explained to me how I could install the door myself. I am not very handy, but I was able to do it and make the necessary adjustments so it had the correct overlay and was straight. What a huge relief! We are very grateful he and Dean took time out of their busy schedule to do this for us.

We are happy that we found this Great Company. They did excellent job paying great attention to details. Our Walking Closet looking much better than any we saw on Custom Closets photos. We will recommend them to all our friends and neighborhood.

Several years ago Westrup did custom cabinets for our kitchen. The craftsmanship was excellent and Dean was very easy to work with. Dean recently did some shelving for a closet and again the quality was great and the price very reasonable. Highly recommend these guys.

My wife and I recently completed an extensive kitchen remodel with Westrup Woodworks installing our kitchen cabinets. We initially went to Home Depot and they did a wonderful presentation on their computer of what the completed cabinets would look like in our home. We hand blueprints in hand and they based their plan/quote on that. After receiving our quote we went to visit a friend who Westrup Woodworks provided service for.

We liked what we saw and called and spoke with Dean. Dean was professional and prompt on the day of his visit. He reviewed our plans and discussed endless options for us to consider. We decided on a finished product and was provided a reasonable quote which was less then what Home Depot offered. The margin wasn't significant, but what we received in return far exceeded any value received by two other quotes. Dean worked closely with our electrician and our general contractor to insure the cabinets were installed correctly while working in and around other contractor's time frame. Timing was everything and Westrup did their installation which allowed the project to continue without delay.

While Reviewing our blueprints Dean noticed inconsistencies after drywall was removed. Dean foresaw issues down the line and adjusted his measurements to insure a proper fit. If we have went with the Home Depot install this issue would not have been addressed and the cabinets would not have fit. This would have been expensive if not a time consuming event if this issue was not caught by Dean. It's amazing an inch or two can have thrown the entire project upside down.

In the end Dean delivered and he was good to his word. Imagine that in the world of contracting. We all have our horror stories, but Dean set the bar high for others to follow.
