Such a cool store. I keep meaning to go when I have more time to look, but seems I'm always in a hurry. I needed a key made, they did a great job for a good price too.

I never thought I'd be reviewing a hardware store yet here we are. I was DRAGGED here by my parents after my stepdad discovered this place the day before. He said "oh, it's like if Amazon had a store and they have great coffee." and they promised Amelie's beforehand if I went. I'm so glad I did! This place is more than just a hardware store. I was expecting a snoozefest like Home Depot but there's more!

There's a huge garden center with lovely plants and fountains, the bottom floor is all the boring stuff to me like tools and tool accessories, and the top level had fun stuff like all kinds of candles, kitchen gadgets, home stuff, pet things, aaaaand the small coffee stand that makes AMAZING coffee! Did you know this place had a coffee shop? I didn't and it's GOOD. Like, REALLY GOOD coffee.

Because they do small batch pour overs, it takes longer to make than your standard coffee shop but it's so worth it. Even their decaf was awesome. There's a one pager that explains what they do to their beans. The young guy behind the counter was very friendly and did a great job with the coffee. In fact, every employee we encountered here was SO nice and helpful.

Every employee greets you and asks if you need anything and they're more than happy to help. I will definitely willingly go back here to look at all the non-tool things anytime and I highly encourage everyone to support this wonderful family-owned business before you head to Lowes or Home Depot!

This is a review of the key shop. For years they key shop at the Park Road Shopping Center has been the go to place for all things keys. Their customer service had been outstanding. Now that they are part of Blackhawk their first priority is to profits. A year ago they programmed 2 key fobs I brought to them. Now they will only program overpriced fobs that they sell. So much for customer service and community support.

The team is so helpful every time. They have everything from nuts, bolts, and washers to camping supplies, and they have an awesome selection of pet supplies. Support local and go to blackhawk before you check home depot! Not to mention they give you free popcorn.

Went to this place purposely but at the same time on a whim to cash in a LOLO for Dunx Coffee. Since this is where Dunx Coffee is, this is where I went. I, however, must say that I LOVE Park Road Shopping Center. There is a bit of everything and everything in there is amazing! I had seen some photos online before visiting but I was not prepared! They have everything!

I wish some of the prices were a little bit lower on some of the outdoor furniture and some other items in the store, but overall I was very pleased! The people who work there are extremely friendly and helpful! They know what they are talking about! I think it is a family business, which I like even more, but I'm not 100% on that. They have everything from grill parts to window coverings and kitchen towels to fruit trees and an entire garden center to everything a normal hardware store has like actual hardware and tools!

I found a knife and blade sharpening tool, mosquito dunks and a gauge that tests the water pressure! I also park in their free popcorn and signed up for their points card while checking out! I will definitely return! 5 stars!

This is no ordinary hardware store! There are a whole lot of premium and unique goods here. I was like a kid in a candy store. That being said, I purchased my Stihl Weedeater here because they don't sell this premium brand in Lowes or Home Depot. The older gentleman was very knowledgeable about the product he was selling me. He even filled it up with gas after I'd purchased it and walked me through the step-by-step process of how to operate it.

He also filled out my warranty card and registered it online with Stihl Corporation for me. I didn't ask him to do any of this--he just did it. I thought this kind of service faded away with the 1950s but apparently not. The quality of customer service I get at Blackhawk Hardware on Park Rd. should serve as a model for every hardware store in the USA because it's second to none.

Have purchased great large pots from the garden center. First four. Then two more. Very helpful loading staff person assisted with loading into my truck. Today, a Saturday again, one more large pot, lines to cashier, no problem they opened another check out to assist. Smiling happy person came to load. Great experience means I will return when I need anything else for my garden.

I was expecting an old fashion Ace Hardware store. No sir and ma'am! What a surprise! Two stories worth of decor and hardware supplies along with a garden center! I spent my entire Friday night there! Max was very helpful with my garden purchases and he gave me more than enough information to get me started on my new planting hobby!

Large 2 story hardware store that is basically just like a bed bath and beyond! Lots of employees around that offer help with any questions. Dog wash too! This is totally a one stop shop for all your household needs minus groceries. The people that live close are lucky to have this near buy! Tons of seating in front of the store to enjoy the little shopping center it is in. We will def. return for all our hardware needs even if it is a little bit of a drive!

This is the best hardware store I've ever been in. I wish I lived closer. Great selection, plenty of friendly help, and a huge showroom. They even have a dog wash station that looks really slick.

Conveniently located near theater, eateries and many other shops. I just browsed but seemed to have a wide variety of items. I did notice probably the largest variety of those high quality expensive Green Eggs grills and accessories. Made me want one but I was on a trip. Helpful staff and clean store. Oh and popcorn!

Great hardware store. Many Selections, So much to choose from and see what a great variety they have. Everything from goat soap to the green egg! Enjoyed our 1st visit there.

Wonderful hardware store, everyone is very helpful. Been here several times and visited several departments and always had a great experience. It's slightly more expensive than Lowes but you're paying for top notch service and advice.

All ages love this store! Super knowledgeable and super friendly staff. Love the garden center in the spring. Nice toy selection.

It's been so long since I've been here.and good to see that it survived Covid! Although some shelves were not fully stocked, the vast varieties were still there. I'm not really into hardware, but this place has just about everything else. really something for everyone. On my recent excursion, I bought some cool coasters (see pic!) and even a dog toy (I'm an Aunt to a Pitbull Puppy!).

I loved the wide selection of dog toys they still had! Yep.something for everyone! One thing that was awkard and unnecessary was that there were one too many service reps roaming the store, spooking up on you, asking if you needed any help. I wondered if they were placed throughout the store more of less to see if folks may be stealing things.versus actual customer service.

No matter the case, I found that a bit unnerving. Still, overall, I really appreciate an eclectic store like this that offers so much under one roof.and I only wish there was a chain location closer to my home?

Terribly disappointing experience at one of my favorite stores. Two days after Christmas, I went to return two window candles that I had not needed and was told I couldn't return Christmas items after Dec. 24. Huh? I specifically purchased more than I thought I might need believing full well I could return them. No one mentioned the return policy when I checked out several weeks prior nor was it was noted anywhere on my receipt. That's poor customer service!

Very disappointed in a store where family members spend LOTS of money. I received a gift certificate in the mail because I recently moved and nowhere on it does it state that clearance items aren't able to be purchased. I will encourage friends and family to simply pick out what they want from the store and then buy it CHEAPER on line. You will be losing lots of money because you won't accept a $10 gift certificate. My family has money, but I don't, and apparently this store doesn't care about satisfying the less than wealthy.

A pretty impressive place! Google brought us to the garden entrance which ended up being quite a pleasant experience even though it was the long way (scenic route). Impressive 2 story store with an elevator. I couldn't find what I needed but all of the associates were friendly and helpful! My mom is a plant nut and saw the garden so. I'm sure we'll definitely be back lol

Very good hardware store as far as that goes, but more than a hardware store. Somewhat of an adventure. Actually worth a touristy visit if you're from out of town. Never saw another store with this selection of indoor & outdoor items for all kinds of purposes, all in one place, with the emphasis on a good selection of hardware. Good place to look for hard-to-find items you want to find *today.* (Don't go when you're broke! You'll be frustrated.)

The new dog wash is the bomb! Easy. And only $10! Towels provide. Easy access too.

The garden area is a magical place! My husband likes the hardware store as well. He is a grill man! I just fall a little more in love each time I walk into the garden area. You absolutely have to check out this place. Set aside an hour or two and shop to your hearts content. I'm thinking Christmas gifts!

Hands-down one of my favorite places to shop in Charlotte. There's no way you will walk through there and not see something you want to take home. Hardware pulls that look like jewelry, animals, fruit, flowers, & more; high-quality custom lawn signs and house signs; chimes; birdhouses, ,, kitchen; bath; pet supplies, paint, laundry room, you name it they have it. I can't possibly do it justice here. You have to experience it, and don't forget to check out a few feet away their wonderful garden center!

If you haven't been to Blackhawk, you need to check out the new enlarged store! I thought they had everything prior to the renovation, now they truly do! Huge selection of high quality items. If you need an uncommon size bolt/screw or need anything in Stainless, Blackhawk is the place to go. They carry everything you can think of and some very unique items!

They now have a large selection of grills, including the Big Green Egg grills, Yeti coolers and accessories. They have expanded the selection of door hardware and cabinet pulls. The staff is all very knowledgeable and helpful. Like an old time hardware store, free popcorn in the front of the store and they allow dogs!

Blackhawk has just about everything--hardware is only a small part of what you'll find there. I love the garden area and they offer a wide assortment of feeders, feed, birdhouses for bird enthusiasts. I also love their Christmas ornaments --quite a selection! But mostly want stands out is the service! The service is off the charts spectacular! Someone will pick up the phone on first ring 99 percent of the time and there is always someone knowledgeable to assist you in the stote.

Always a good experience with tons of staff offering to help. This time I was looking for a way to fix my smoker's door - the handle had fallen apart and pieces were missing. I took the handle parts to Richard to find the right screw - he actually added threads to the handle and sent me home with a washer that also fit, going above and beyond what I expected!

As always the store has so much and if I didn't need to fix the smoker I would have spent more time just browsing - the renovation means more space and more things to see.

My wife and I both agree the few extra dollars you pay here is worth it for what is attentive service. And now the store has doubled in size, during the lock downs this store has remained open and become an outing for us! I always go here first before venturing out to the two big box stores.

Always puts me in a great mood, I have been going to Blackhawk for years. I actually bring people here when they visit. Always great staff, items you didn't know you even needed. Wish there were more. This is a great test store for a car dealership, hotels or any business you want to show great customer service. 5 Stars are not enough. Thank you for all you do to make the shopping experience.

This is such a neat little store. I bought my table top grill from them, I had to order it. They are definitely taking this pandemic seriously. I think what I really liked is even though I was wearing a mask the lady at the front recognized me the second time I was there?! I thought that was nice, definitely a family business, wonderful people

This is my go-to hardware store. I love how well things are marked, I can find things easily and there is always friendly helpful available. I'm excited for the expansion, with an additional floor and elevator this made it easier for my Mom to navigate with her canes; going to a big box home improvement store doesn't work. This hardware store carries everything and then some.

This place puts Home Depot and Lowes to shame, both in terms of selection as well as helpful staff.

Wow, what a great place to shop for hardware, lawn and garden, pet supplies, household gifts and so much more. The store is large with 2 levels and an outdoor garden area. I love the large variety of plants, some I have not seen in other places such as their hibiscus. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plant prices reasonable. I bought some potted herbs and a small hibiscus plant. It's a store I have to come back to because there is so much to see in store and at the garden center

It was ladies night as Blackhawk Hardware. It was so much fun. There several vendors there that setup stations so that we could try out their products. We received goodie bags with treats and we had wine while we shopped. I found out about several great products. I love Blackhawk. They are so different from other hardware stores. They really offer great support service, and tools and tips.

To have an event for women was so awesome. Now I am just waiting for the classes. They are not just a hardware store. They have so many uniques items. I could go on and in but just go there to shop. It's so worth it.

It's been years since I've been in this CLT landmark location. I believe it's gotten better since my last visit almost 20 years ago. A wide variety of household decor and hardware goods and services. Very upscale and well laid out and easy to find stuff. They have a large and very professional staff. Plenty of free parking in the mall lot.

Looking for something? Blackhawk has it. I feel fortunate to have a store like this in our city. It's not just a hardware store but. well how do you describe it? Just go. The staff is amazing and are there to help with whatever you are doing. Thank you Blackhawk

I can't believe I haven't been here until recently. They've been around since before I was born, so clearly since before I first came to Charlotte. Everyone has been hyping them up to me and with good reason. It's pretty awesome and just overwhelming in here. First thing to catch my eye was free popcorn. Why yes, yes I will partake.

They keep you reeled in in any way possible. The store is massive, which is actually quite surprising considering the location. The exterior on the front is rather deceiving. It meanwhile has just about everything you can get at a big-box store like Lowe's or Home Depot and it's super convenient to all the upstanding neighborhoods nearby. Tools, hardware, kitchen supplies, gift cards, home decor, building and home repair materials all the way down to the plumbing. There's even a coffee shop snugged right into the front of the store.

There are employees practically everywhere in droves just eager to help you. Lots of check out lines and just an unexpectedly modern set up. As it is essentially an ACE Hardware, it's no surprise that the store is so awesome. The prices do speak to the location and the clientele however. Most items are several dollars more than those at a large store on the outskirts of town. Still, you owe it to yourself to check this place out - it's truly an experience.

Probably my second favorite Hardware Store after Lehman Hardware in Kidron, Ohio Blackhawk Hardward has been here since the early 1970's and when I lived on this side of town, it was my come to Hardware Store and where I bought my tomato stakes and cages every year. Looking for something hard to find, this is the place. After we moved back from Pennsylvania, this was and is my wife favorite Hardware Store even though it is a bit a drive from Cornelius.

There were several occassions where she was looking for something like a pull for a drawer and could not find it. Blackhawk had it. Staff is great and will take the time to work with you to find what you need. Definitely not a level of service you get in one of the Big Box Stores. Dropped into today after lunch next door at Flying Biscuit and great as usual. By the Way, Lehman's Hardware in Kidron Ohio is in the middle of Amish Country and you will see one of a kind items there, you never imagined.
