Cabinet Crafters Of Virginia

We had new cabinets installed by Cabinet Crafters when my wife and I updated our kitchen. We thought the quality of their work as shown in their showroom was well done. After our cabinets were installed, they are painted white we were so pleased, but within 30-60 days we started noticing places where the paint finish was peeling and cracking. We called and Tom, the owner had someone from their shop come over to repair the places.

We talked with Ed, who came over, about our concerns with the paint finish. He admitted that there was a batch of cabinets being painted and finished, during the time ours were being completed, where the finishing was not up to par. When my wife called Cabinet Crafters and mentioned this as a serious concern going forward, it was discounted. She was told "this is normal wear and tear on painted cabinets, this is to be expected." No compensation was offered.

We have had another shop employee come out numerous times to fix places that had peeled, worn down, etc. and he left us a sample of the paint. He admitted as well that there was a problem with some of the way finishes were done during the same time our cabinets were in production. It's been seven years and there are more than a few unacceptable places on our cabinets that will not be able to be repaired, as the doors are not solid wood.

I would not recommend Cabinet Crafters because of the way we were treated after the fact, and that they never stood behind their work. Some of our cabinets should have either been replaced or redone. We will have to replace many of the cabinets much sooner than necessary if we decide to sell our home. This is very unfortunate. The amount of money we spent on this renovation, should definitely included cabinets to enjoy for much longer than a few years.

Cabinet Crafters did a wonderful job on my custom cabinets, vanities and built in's. The job was actually completed 10 years ago and I couldn't be happier. Everything still looks new and performs like new.

My boyfriend worked there and it's a all man shop and the owner Tom hires a female and the problem simply was that she dressed inappropriately and their a family owned business but is ok with hiring a home wrecker and the owner him self said it was just fine that if I didn't like it don't come around. Being a family oriented business it blew my mind that there's no morals or values there so why would you trust them with your family?

This company has the ability to look at space and create more space as well as an ability to make your vision come to life in your home. Thanks to the great advice, design, guidance and craftsmanship we now have a kitchen in our home that is more beautiful and has more space for our belongings than we could have ever imagined or hoped for when we decided to remodel our old kitchen. Their patience and coordination with us was so greatly appreciated. We now feel proud to invite all of our friends and family at any time.
