Finish Pros

I cannot say enough great things about Finish Pros! Dan and his team are phenomenal! I inherited my parent's China cabinet in a pecan-colored solid wood, in good shape. My dining room is a little contemporary and was a little hesitant about changing the look to a contemporary finish. Not overly excited about it but felt I should keep it. Well, when Dan and his team delivered it, I got a new attitude and WOW!

It is white with nickel colored hardware, which I did keep the original hardware. It looks amazing! The care and time they put into this China Cabinet project is just beyond fantastic. The pickup and delivery were better than I expected. His team is extremely careful, very knowledgeable and so personal when handling your furniture. Finish Pros is absolutely the most professional, knowledgeable, courteous and communicative through the whole process.

Finish Pros has done many projects for us, and we have been extremely pleased with the work, and professionaliam. Dan is very knowledgeable and accommodating. They have refinished our kitchen table, reupholstered and repaired our desk chair, refurbished two upholstered stools and repaired a deacon's bench and a secretary desk. Finish pros are just that, "Pros." To be clear, they are not the cheapest, but the quality of work is fantastic. I just had my second chair reupholstered by them and both times they really impressed. They come out and look at your piece, and if it needs any structural work or additional padding they will let you know. They have high quality fabric samples to show you or you can provide your own fabric. It's a great service.

We had a dresser and two night stands painted by Finish Pros. They did an excellent job and were very easy to deal with. Would totally recommend!

We inherited a great rocker from 1998 which matched the decor of our house which we purchased in 2015 but was also built in 1998. Super thoughtful gift from the owner of the house and came in handy of those late nights with a newborn. Fast forward, we've been sprucing up the house, and decided to see what could be done with the rocker. FinishPros knocked it out of the park.

They were quick and professional and well priced. A few days later, one of our kitchen chairs decided to break. What to do? I could spend $$$ on a whole new set, or bring it to a company I know will do an amazing job, and they really did. They were able to repair the base of the chair and get the paint to match perfectly. A wonderful team at finish pros, you guys won't be disappointed!

My husband and I got a lovely couch and loveseat from his grandparents that we wanted reupholstered for our new home to get rid of the grandma floral patterned fabric. I am a visual person and I wanted to be able to see potential fabrics that would match a rug we had in the living room. Finish Pros came and did an in-home consultation with fabric samples and discussed the process of reupholstering.

We felt so comfortable with them after the consultation that we agreed to use them. Finish Pros picked up and dropped off the furniture and did amazing work. Their attention to detail with each piece is apparent. I love the furniture and the fabric and cannot wait to get at least 20 more years out of these couches.

We had chairs from the 1970s that were an orange color and the cushions had worn about, but they were great and timeless. It was time to move my mom from the family home and we wanted to bring the chairs with us to the new home. We decided to get the chairs reupholstered with a fun color. Finish pros did an amazing job with our coffee table that had been in the family for decades! We had taken it to other places who either quoted us 3x more or who had said it couldn't be refinished! Finish pros did a great job and made the table look like new! Will be back to have then finish more pieces!

My husband had an old chair that belonged to his father. It was beyond useable condition but was huge sentimentally to hubby. I reached out to a few places to see what they would be able to do with it. I decided on Finish Pros based on my interaction with them and the positive reviews. I brought the chair and ottoman in to the shop. I wanted it to be as close to original color/leather that it was originally.

They were upfront and honest about the different qualities and potential problems/benefits of each. I finally decided on a leather that would be durable and classy. They gave me a cost, which I felt was somewhat high. Having plenty of life experiences about spending less money and getting poor workmanship, I agreed to the price. I was told that it would be 6 to 8 weeks before it would be ready.

It took me four years to make it this far, 6 to 8 weeks was a drop in the bucket. Less than 4 weeks later, I got a call to say that it was completed and available on Thursday for pick up. I thanked them for getting it done so quickly. I explained that I just had surgery the day before and would not be up and around until Friday. Lo and behold, they offered to deliver it to me on Thursday morning.

I gladly accepted. When I saw the chair and ottoman, I couldn't believe how beautifully it turned out. The true test was when my husband walked in the door after work. A very strong man broke into tears and was in awe. He said the flood of memories that came back were amazing! Thank you so much for such an amazing restoration and for bringing my husband a type of joy that money could not buy!

I highly recommend Finish Pros. They recovered 2 mid century chairs, ottoman and a table. The whole process, from start to finish, was excellent. Everything turned out amazing, as you can see from the before/after photos!

Excellent quality of work and customer service. I was a bit surprised at the high cost but saw so many rave reviews I decided to go with them. Work of this quality made the cost worthwhile and understandable. I did find a small fit and feel issue that that fixed quickly.

I had an antique piece refinished but did not hold up very well. I also got a quote on an old wooden high chair. It was very high. Had it done at a local small business and it was much cheaper and looks beautiful!

I just used Finish Pros to do a wooden kitchen table with leaf and 6 cabinet fronts. The end result was beyond my expectation! Their communications are excellent and everyone I dealt with was so professional. I plan to use them in the future for some upholstery work. They are great!

They advertise repairs but when they responded to your request for an estimate they responded they were not able to repair any sort of leather. Wanted to reupholster whole sofa.

Dan McKenzie and his talented team restored a mid-century modern dining table that I picked up on FB marketplace. It is a veneer table that had a very uneven finish, pen marks, dings, and even small chunks of missing veneer. I saw a diamond in the rough and my husband said it was unfixable and a waste of money. After another refinisher tried and failed to fix one of the leaves I gave up and covered it with a tablecloth.

A year later I found Finish Pros on the Nextdoor app and I decided to give refinishing another try. I'm so glad I did. Dan came out promply and after telling us the table would need to be hand sanded because of the veneer, I was expecting an outrageous quote. It wasn't, it was a very fair quote for what I am sure was a very labor intense job. I got my table back today and my husband and I were blown away.

It's perfect and looks brand new. It's beautiful and I was always cherish it and can't wait to host holidays around this treasure. Thank you Dan and the Finish Pros team! First 2 pics are before and the last pic is after. I hope the pic does it justice.

Horrible upholstery job on my day bed. Definitely wouldn't go to them for upholstery. They are not returning any emails.

I emailed them ok several occasions over 5 times. They said they would connect me with their accounting specialists and still no word back. Disappointed in the lack of customer service

I have a good wood dining room set, with chairs and a sideboard, which I had allowed to completely fall apart over a decade in storage. It had already been abused ( I am sorry to say I had it "pickled") and the shed it was kept in was not weather controlled. Suffice to say it was in poor shape at best. There were cracks in the wood, wood missing and it was generally a mess. Ben Weidner looked at the collection and gave me an estimate and a timetable.

He was able to do the work for the amount stated and the time stated. I could not have been more pleased! When the pieces returned, on time, they were exquisite! The color was uniform and warm, the wood repaired so even knowing where the holes and such had been, I could not find them. Next, I had Ben repair the six chairs, both the wood and the upholstery. Again, on time and on budget.

He came back for a removable piece off of the sideboard to make sure they were able to match the pieces exactly! Ben came by the house on at least four different occasions to pick up pieces, bring fabric, return the drawer and deliver the chairs himself. It is apparent he takes a great deal of pride in the work he does and while it is not cheap, it is worth every penny!

The workmanship, the price, the service. I cannot say enough about any of this. I am quite pleased and would certainly use them again if I come across any good wood furniture which I need repaired or refinished! Malette Poole Raleigh

I've used Finish Pros twice now and will use them again. They do a great job. Ben Weidner is assigned to the Cary area where I live and he is polite, professional and very good at his job. He comes to your house, picks up the furniture and brings it back after it's completed. He just did 6 parson chairs for my dining room and they turned out even better than I thought!

Finish pros are the people for restoration of damaged. I had 3 hepplewhite chairs badly damaged in a move. One had what looked like a green stick fracture of the harp and the rest of the back (harp ) was broken off. I had no hope for that one, the other two had breaks on the harp also. When I picked them up they were as good as new. Thank you finish pros I highly recommend you for all antique repairs no matter how hopeless they look.

I just had a chair of my mothers recovered and I could not have been happier. From beginning to end I was impressed with the customer service and the quality of the work. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to recover their furniture. Finish Pros reupholstered my couch and refinished the top of my solid cherry nightstand, and they did an EXCELLENT job! I am beyond thrilled with how my sofa turned out, and my nightstand looks brand new! I highly recommend Finish Pros and will definitely use them again for future projects. You never really know what you are going to get when you send some 'beloved' older furniture out the door. I got so much more than I could have imagined. Our former cherry dining room table now looks 'on trend' with its brown charcoal finish and the seats upholstered in grey linen just make it even more appealing. Great job all the way around, especially in our new open concept home.

Really sets off the dining area! Secondly, our master suite was wearing out due to sun exposure on the edges and had generally dulled in appearance. It now looks brand new, but still has the patina of being well worn and loved. I couldn't be happier and it was so worth the wait. They were absolutely amazing. We have an Natuzzi leather sofa that is 12 years old. To replace it would be very expensive. This brand is particularly hard to reupholster. They did an amazing job. It will easily last another 12 years. They also refinished two end tables that we bought at the TROSA sale. They look brand new. Always on time- if not early. I would recommend them very very highly.

To be honest, I haven't yet used Finish Pro's services, but I have been so impressed with the promptness and thoroughness of their communications. I had e-mailed them with a question about some used leather furniture I was thinking of buying, and they quickly responded with tons of great information and advice. I never felt brushed off because I wasn't yet a paying customer or pressured to buy anything, and I was very pleased with the thoroughness of the answers I received.

The person emailing me back obviously put some thought into their communication and seemed genuinely invested in helping me to make a solid choice. When I do need their services to refinish, restuff or otherwise rejigger a piece of furniture, I will definitely be going to the Finish Pros.
