The professionalism and craftsmanship of the Berceli team is excellent. My project consisted of replacing hardwood floors throughout my entire apartment, complete demo and redo of the kitchen, moving and building two walls, adding in all new custom doors, painting, and moving light fixtures. The Berceli team delivered a final project that has exceeded my expectations and met all of my desires.

They were very willing to listen to my ideas and comments throughout the project even if that meant changes to work in progress. There were some hiccups along the way, as with any renovation, but the end result is what matters here and it is fantastic. I would certainly work with Berceli again and have already recommended them to others.

We used Berceli to renovate and upgrade our 2 bathrooms in 2016 and to renovate and upgrade our kitchen this summer. These were all "gut" renovations. We are very pleased with the results. The renovation of the master bathroom in particular was complicated because we removed a bathtub and had a glass walk-in shower installed in its place. All of the work was done professionally and the Berceli team was very responsive. Adjustments to the design and/or materials during the renovation process were handled quickly and appropriately.

This is the third time I have used Berceli for an apartment remodel - but this was by far the largest job - gut renovation of two bathrooms and kitchen, plus creation of a small office out of a closet area, including demolition of two walls. I did not use an architect but worked directly with Giorgi at Berceli to conceive and design the project. The result is fantastic - just what we wanted and even despite delays because of Covid, just a seamless and stress-free experience. The entire team is amazing and easy to work with - responsive and professional. I wouldn't think of using anyone else in the city for another construction, remodel job.

Berceli designed and installed the kitchen and bathrooms of my previous apartment. They used great materials and appliances. In addition to looking really good, there was maximized storage. Living in NY, we always need maximized storage. I liked every aspect of the beautiful design and enjoyed working in the kitchen. The bathtub and shower were perfect for luxurious relaxation.

For 6 years I saved my hard earned cash to remodel my 1 bedroom apartment on the upper west side. Anytime I mentioned it to friends I heard one more horror story about renovations gone bad. I choose Berceli because of Ronnie, I told him upfront I needed help, I was not sure what I wanted and was not confident in my design skills! He helped me pick out all my materials and came up with a cohesive design.

We were supposed to start in May but because of the pandemic we had to delay until July. And, I was not living in the city for the summer. No matter, anytime I had any questions Ronnie was responsive and helpful. They are a team of professionals and I am very happy with their work. Even my building super and maintenance man remarked on their professionalism.

We hired Berceli for a gut renovation of our apartment in UES after meeting several contractors. We couldn't be happier more than a year later. Their collaborative approach led by Ronnie, great ideas from Georgi their designer stands apart. Working closely with us throughout including adjusting to our changes and delivering a quality product is what we were hoping for. Berceli delivered. We would recommend them to anyone.

Berceli remodeled our bathroom and kitchen floor and appliances. They were within estimate budget and time. The work was EXCELLENT. Our apartment was cleaned and mopped each evening so we could access it, we sublet an apartment down the block, but didn't move everything out. Totally accommodating with our needs, questions, and adjustments. Unlike other contractors the management and workers were clearly working for us and consulted us on every aspect of the project.

When the project was completed our apartment was clean and ready for us to move back in! We did have a few very minor punch list adjustment items that needed to be addressed after we moved back in, they were quick, accommodated our schedule and there was never a problem. I rarely recommend a contractor, or for that matter products or stores, I highly recommend Berceli!

This is a wonderful company! Everyone there is helpful and professional, and the company provides a high standard of work. They go out of their way for their customers. Berceli did a gut renovation of the living room, kitchen, and hallways in my Manhattan apartment and it was spectacular. Joseph has excellent taste and a great design sense and he helped me make really good decisions.

The work was done extremely well, and on time and on budget. They're not the cheapest and not the most expensive - their price is reasonable for the quality of materials and workmanship and the customer service they provide. II felt I definitely got value for money. In fact, a year or so after that major work, I engaged them to come back and do work in the master bedroom. I recommend them highly!

Very responsive and stayed completely on budget even though we wanted some changes halfway through the buildout. Joseph has an amazing ability to talk to you about what you want and return a proposal that clearly shows he was listening closely. But what really sold me on Berceli is after one year, we needed something replaced. Even though it was a small thing, he sent one of his guys over to replace it right away. I have never met a contractor with that level of customer service and follow through. I recommend Berceli to everyone who ever asks for a recommendation

Berceli remodeled my kitchen and bathroom. As with most construction projects, there were unexpected issues that arose. What impressed me the most about Samir and the Berceli team is the way they were able to deal with the expected and the unexpected issues, and there were several. Samir and Giorgi's design turned a pipe that went through the middle of a wall we knocked down into an architectural structure instead of just covering the pipe as other contractors suggested, it looks beautiful and no one can tell we were trying to cover a pipe.

Both projects exceeded my expectations. I also appreciate that Berceli was there to help after the projects were completed. Several years after my kitchen remodel, I bought a new microwave that did not fit into the built-in panel set up for the old microwave. When I told Samir about the problem, he did not hesitate to cut the panel for me so that my new microwave would fit.

When my son decided to remodel his bathroom and tear down a wall in his living room, I did not hesitate to recommend Berceli and they did not disappoint. He loves the remodel. I will definitely use Berceli on any of my future renovations and I highly recommend them without hesitation. Jasmine

We recently completed our 3rd job with Berceli and once again they exceeded our expectations. They deliver a job with great value, professionalism, and a terrific design aesthetic. The owner remains very involved in the process and the quality of their workmanship and capability of their installers is incredible. I cannot recommend a company more highly.

I do not recommend this "design center". They have no idea what they are doing. Joseph has to be the most clueless business man I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with.

My experience with Berceli was awful and would never use them again or recommend them. Samir, the project manager, was highly unresponsive throughout the construction process and did poor quality work that involved numerous shortcuts. Berceli practically forces customers to pay by check by adding a 3% charge to pay by credit card. The project was contracted to take 90 days, but took six months to complete!

There were times when the workers didn't show up for days/week at a time without any explanation. In addition, the quality of their work was poor. The shower floor was uneven/bumpy and wasn't properly pitched so the water doesn't flow to the drain; the drain isn't the lowest point. The kitchen cabinet inserts were not properly stained and Samir wouldn't acknowledge it despite sending him pictures until after I contacted the cabinet manufacturer.

The cabinetry wasn't properly fitted for the refrigerator and as a result, the refrigerator door doesn't open all the way. The paint used on the bathroom ceiling wasn't suitable for wet/damp areas so it peeled off right away. In addition to poor quality, Samir took multiple shortcuts. Despite what was discussed, he laid the new tile floor on top of the existing wood instead of going down to the sub-floor to make the tile level with the rest of the floor.

We also agreed to make the countertop a higher-than-normal 37", but instead he made it 36" without any notice. Despite sending Samir multiple pictures of the shower nook design, he put in a totally different version without any notification and installed door trims of his choosing without discussing it. Finally, the workers repeatedly went through my closets and took my personal belongings, even after speaking with Samir.

As a result of theft, I was credited for the possessions they stole. Berceli violated New York General Business Law § 518 by imposing a 300 bps surcharge for credit card payments. Unfortunately, I didn't know this until after I made my final payment to the company.

Terrible! My apartment doesn't even seem remodeled! They left this uneven gap between the kitchen cabinets and the ceiling and told me all they could do was to cover it with crown molding but that the uneven gap would look even more obvious (so they didn't have to do their job!). They told me all NY apartments are crooked and I was stupid enough to believe it could not be fixed.

There are countless uneven gaps in my apartment and it angers me every time I see them. Now that I work for an interior designer who runs her own contractors I know all that work Berceli did is bullshit! My guess is, they probably forgot to level out the ceiling and when they noticed they didn't care enough to fix it! My current boss has shown me many of the apartments she has worked on and regardless of how much her client is willing to spend on vanities, toilets, cabinets, tiles, flooring, etc, the craftsmanship is never ever crappy and she never makes her client feel bad about supplying their on things unlike Berceli. Samir was the con artist of them all, watch out!

On top of that, their plumbers did a horrible job connecting the bidet/washlet to my toilet and the water supply hose popped out and flooded a quarter of the apartment and damaged the hardwood floor and all they said that can be done to the floor was wait till it dries completely. On top of that, Samir rudely asked me for the last 5% of the payments, I refused to give it to him because how damaged the my floor was. All he did was charge me $1,000 less and we haven't spoken since.

Living through a renovation is never pleasant. Berceli completed a total renovation of my large master bathroom. Although living in the midst of the work was difficult, everything was done to specification, in a professional and timely manner. The work staff was competent and courteous and the project manager, Samir, was attentive, accessible and accommodating. I am enjoying my bathroom everyday.

Berceli just finished a gut renovation on my very old, very small NYC kitchen, and the transformation has been dramatic. Among other things, they opened the wall adjacent to the living room, and I now have a 9-foot long counter between the two with pendant lighting that really improves food preparation, entertaining, etc. In fact, I am planning to get a couple of counter-height chairs and use it for most meals from here on.

The openness of the space really makes me feel like I'm living in a different apartment. And the cabinets underneath have doubled my storage space. That said, I imagine any reputable kitchen contractor could do this sort of work. What really impressed me about Berceli was the management of the project. I've been through this before in another apartment, and I know that the right contractor can keep a kitchen renovation that should take 3-4 weeks from dragging on for a couple of months.

They finished on time and cleaned up as they went, which was important since I stayed in the apartment throughout the renovation. They were also great at dealing with the inevitable hiccups you encounter along the way on jobs like this. After all, you never know what you are going to find when you open up the walls in very old buildings. In my case, the arrangement of the water pipes was somewhat unusual. Berceli adjusted the design as needed but never pushed me into making a decision that made me uncomfortable.

The owner of the company visited the job site regularly, and the guys on the crew really cared about their work. They even made suggestions that only enhanced the end product.

Agree pressure to sign a contract which I stupidly did thinking we were still in the planning process, before I knew it they had ordered all the cabinets even though i still wanted to do changes and i had not even picked out appliances or sinks faucets etc. The whole kitchen had been ordered with very little planning or measuring and in the end i used my own contractor to install everything, cost me double since so much had to be modified because it didn't actually fit into the existing space or the sinks I wanted were too big for the counters, the whole thing was a nightmare but I blame myself.

My mistake to sign, I liked the showroom staff( even though Georgie really made some big errors )but hated the owner manager team very aggressive. Not a good experience Just make sure you see really professional finished drawings before you sign on the dotted line with every appliance, faucet etc specified on the drawings.

Finding a good contractor is difficult. After meeting with Berceli, it was obvious we had done it. Berceli's staff is professional and our project manager is a true expert. Work is progressing on time and on budget and we are getting diligent attention from the whole team.

The worst. High pressure, limited options. Rough pressure tactics to sign contract.

We are totally happy with the results of our kitchen re-do by Berceli. We are in a NYC Classic 6 with a good-sized galley kitchen. We are that NYC rarity, in that we cook almost every night. We were perfectly content with the old kitchen footprint, but it sadly needed an upgrade. The estimate we got from the project manager, Samir, was not cheap, but totally accurate.

There were no surprises and no add ons. Georgi, the designer somehow managed to not only create a beautiful kitchen, but somehow got us a lot more storage in the same space. I still can't figure out how. Cindi helped us with the fine details as colors and backsplash, which added to the overall look. Were there glitches along the way? Of course there were, as you don't tear out a complete kitchen without having some problems. However, Berceli was immediately responsive, answering emails and calls very promptly if something didn't look right. i would hire them again without question.

We had our whole apartment remodeled, soup to nuts, by Berceli. Started with drawings down to all design of 4 bathrooms and full kitchen scrape. Our experience was great, although I do not think this was their sweet spot 8 years ago when the work was done. We have gone back for updates and general maintenance, including last week. Their employees seem often to be eastern european and terrific people and workers. Friendly, helpful and great results.

I needed my kitchen to be overhauled. It had been years since I last worked on it. I was lucky to find Berceli at the 92Y Street Festival last year, and they were a joy to work with - from my initial consultation right through to the last day. I highly recommend these guys, especially for your kitchens and bathrooms.

They did a fantastic job with out kitchen! I'm very skeptical of these bad reviews. Yelp should demand proof or take them down.

Had a great experience with Giorgi their kitchen designer. After meeting with numerous designers he managed to solve the kitchen design challenge. Excellent project managers and installers. The kitchen was completed on time and fairly affordable. No need to look further for the best in town.

I did a major combination of two apartments in Midtown. It was a very big job that took 4 months longer then I expected, and cost a little bit more then planned. I must say that the end results were very good for the price. Ronnie and the crew did a fine job, everybody who walks in is extremely complimentary about the results. They have to be more careful in protecting floors and bathtubs during renovations.

You have to be involved in the project, inspect, complain, and not ignore it, or you will get frustrated by some of the results, Ronnie is very cooperative. They don't nickle and dime you to death. The job looks outstanding. Overall I'd say they did a very good job for the price, and would definitely recommend them.

My wife and I had our Kitchen redone a number of years ago by Berceli and were very satisfied. We since moved to a big apartment and asked Berceli to come in to do some work. Sadly this time around we were very disappointed. The overall estimate was exorbitant so we had to trim down the work to only focus on the kitchen (for which we were told "they were at a loss on this job") Essentially the "loss" translated into $7,000 for a small kitchen got us back splash and floor tile performed by a drunken worker who showed up drunk, stole beers, scratched our Subzero fridge, used our tools instead of brining his own (including my knives as a scraper) and made us clean up and throw out all the scrap! I had visions of things working out as they had with the kitchen but it appears things have gone down hill
