Owner Jeff Titus just finished remodeling a bathroom in my 1927 house in record time with a speed, flexibility and orchestration of his own people, top-quality vendors and materials that left me breathless. And saved my marriage to Nancy, who hates sharing a bathroom. Finally, after 22 years in Westport, CT, I have a contractor who works like an old-time doctor -- managing everything. But please don't call him now: I've neglected my old house waiting to find a guy like Jeff and need lots more of his time.

We have used Titus Built for several projects over the last five years, and the results have exceeded our expectations every time. First, we transformed our master bath, and since we have added our guest bath, laundry room, a from-scratch basement bath where none existed before, and smaller projects like painting, power washing, and outside trim work.

Everything is done to perfection; if there's anything I'm not 100% satisfied with, they make it right. In our master bath, I called Jeff 3 years later when the glass shower frame got a hair loose, and he had someone out fixing it immediately at no charge to us. What I really love is the extra special ideas they come up with, such as the fold-up lighted mirror vanity, the pull out step stools and chalkboard paint in the kids' bathroom, and pocket doors that really maximize the available space. We will never use another company!

I am in a peer group with Jeff from Titus Built, and have had the opportunity to see this company from a unique perspective. Jeff truly cares for people. Now that our five month project is nearing completion, I wanted to take the time to thank you and Burke Cheney for a job well done. Most of our friends thought we were crazy to take on a wintertime construction project, but you and Burke ensured that the process went very smoothly. Even when things went wrong over a holiday weekend, you and Burke were there to “save the day.” We always felt confident that anything that went wrong would be handled to our satisfaction.

Never having undergone a project of this scope before, we didn’t understand the importance of having a good project supervisor. Now that we’ve survived the process, we feel truly lucky that Burke Cheney was assigned to our project.

Burke is truly an artisan, as the octagonal tray ceiling in our breakfast room attests. He and his staff treated our home as though it was their own.

They were always polite and respectful of our property. They were always reliable – punctual even in the worst weather. Burke was wonderful with our children. He understood their fascination, both with the work and the equipment, but never allowed them in an unsafe situation. Our project was begun and completed on time and mostly on budget. (Those pesky little change orders!) Our ideas were never disparaged and Burke was always available for questions and amenable to changes.
