After Hurricane Ida I replaced the sheetrock on the ceilings in a bedroom and walk-in closet. Then painted the ceiling and all of the walls. All of the trim/moldings were stained and polyurethaned and I just needed new carpet installed to complete the repairs. Bought the new carpet from Jim Owens and also had them installed it. After they were finished the installation I was inspecting it and was surprised by the damages I saw.
These installation guys were terrible. When they brought the carpet to the room they scratched the door casing trim on two doors and when they rolled out the carpet in the bedroom they scratched paint off of the wall corners and the base boards and somehow pulled the telephone jack out of the sheetrock. I pointed out the damages to one of the installtion guys and he had the audacity to say, "That was like that already." On top of that they weren't laying out the carpet per the hand sketch given to them by the salesman thus there was going to be a seam in the carpet within a foot of the entrance door to the bedroom.
I contacted the salesman and set up a meeting with him to discuss these issues. The salesman called the installation manager to come listen to my complaints. The installation manager asked the salesman who installed it and when the salesman told him he said, that was their best installtion guys. Then he told me sorry about the damages but they weren't in the business of fixing damages incurred during the carpet installation and he offered to talk to his boss to see what sort of compensation they could make for the damages.
He asked me if I had an amount in mind and I told him whatever you think is fair but keep in mind repairing damage to stained and polyurethaned molding isn't a quick and easy thing to do. A week later the installation manager called me and said they feel like deducting $100 of the total price was fair. $100 might cover the material costs but the labor alone would probably be 2-3X's that. Therfore I wouldn't recommend Jim Owens carpet installation to anyone.

We worked with Jeremy Owens to do our floors, countertop, fireplace trim and backsplash. He was great. He went out of his way to make sure our new home turned out exactly how we wanted. He was very creative with our backsplash and it turned out amazing. I would recommend Jim Owens to anyone remodeling or building.

We went to Jim Owens to get an estimate to remodel our kitchen. Brian helped us. We chose our cabinets and granite (ok, I chose everything lol), then sat at the design center. The 3-d design was cool and made it very easy to see that my vision for our kitchen was going to work out great (my idea was to add a peninsula, husband was skeptical). The system went down and Brian had to redo it, by then we decided to have him email us with the design and estimate.
It was VERY inexpensive, even considering we had gone to some of the "cheap" cabinet/granite places around. It was so inexpensive that we didn't hesitate. It was much easier (and cheaper) than hiring a contractor ourselves to install the stuff from the cheap place. We had everything installed by a very knowledgeable professional (can't remember his name).
One of the cabinets was delivered broken, but the installer put it where it was going to go so they could still measure for the granite while we were waiting for the new cabinet. It took longer than expected because of the broken cabinet, but that wasn't their fault. Our kitchen is absolutely beautiful and even my husband loves it. All in all, it was a very smooth process and we'll be back for our bathroom remodels.

I'm just updating my review to note that the owner of Jim Owen's contacted me recently to apologize for my experience and to ensure that something like it doesn't happen again. Although I cannot attest for anything beyond my own experience, the apology was welcome and earnest. I hope that my experience was not the norm, and they insist that it was not.
