High pressure plastic laminate is still one of the most common countertop surfaces in use today. Laminate countertops are easy to clean, very affordable and are available in a wide array of colors. Laminate tops are not scratch or heat resistant, but they are stain resistant. A Square edge top is where laminate is glued on a inch and half medium density Fiber board (MDF).
Solid surfacing has been around for over thirty years. Because of the obvious benefits for the home owner, it is a material that is here to stay. You can count on Countertops & Cabinets Inc. to keep on top of this expanding market, to insure your new solid surface countertop will give you a lifetime of beauty.

No stars here. The owner of this company Nick is an unprofessional, lazy, liar. We did not even end up using this company. We went here because we had received several ridiculous quotes as far as price for granite counters. He quoted us $5,700! Well if it sounds too good to be true IT IS! Weeks went by that he was supposed to get the slabs in that we wanted to look at.
First off he never calls. Even if they don't come in on the day they're expected you would think he would reach out. I do not believe he ever even ordered the slabs in. On the 3rd week I called him once again to see if they came in. Once again I was told no. I informed him that this is getting to be a bit ridiculous and that if they weren't in this week we would have to go elsewhere.
He stated "well if you want to go somewhere else then go, if that's how you're going to be about it. I'll cancel the order." He then hung up. I guess customers are in abundance. Our business was not need from the beginning. Good prices do not equate to good product or experience. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company. It is owned by an individual that blames everyone else for their mistakes.

Just had new kitchen countertops and sink put in our home from COUNTERTOPS of Syracuse. When we went to the showroom Dan was more than professional, friendly and helpful. Rich and Jim came to measure and the next day were here to install. Rich did such a great job making sure everything was in place, the backsplash was secure and also hooked up our new faucet and water lines. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for good service and professionalism

I had a large kitchen countertop and two vanity tops done - all with new sinks and I love all of it. These folks are pleasant, easy to work with, skilled, neat, prompt and reasonably priced - just couldn't be happier. Disregard the finish work shown in the photos that I still have to do. Update: Backsplash finally done. Beautifully installed by Giuseppe's Remodeling. I am so happy with my kitchen!

If I could give less than a 1* review I would. Horrific experience dealing with this company and owners. Ordered a bath vanity, sink and quartz top. We decided on a remnant quartz top they had in stock - we liked the design and it was on site so we didn't have to wait for delivery, which was perfect because we needed our bathroom disruption kept to a minimum. Vanity arrives a week later than expected, but I understand that because the industry is getting crushed right now.
The quality is okay, not worth the price I spent for a vanity where the doors don't line up. So I call to have the quartz cut for my sink /faucet and shower seat and I'm told they don't have the slab. I said "but you had the slab and said you'd put our name on it." All they would say is that they don't have it. Never told me what actually happened (which was that they sold it).
Now I have to wait two weeks for them to order a new slab. Fast forward two weeks later. I call. No response. Call again. No response. Call and leave a third voicemail over 3 days. No response. 4th day I get through. Nick the owner answers the phone. Nick hurriedly starts to explain to me that the stone still isn't in and he's been busy trying to get me a similar stone from another supplier. "Similar" to me isn't "the same".
So I ask to see the stone first before I agree to it. Nicks response was "if you need to see the stone before I get it, the deal's off'! I'm trying to help you out here, I'm losing money on the deal and I can't wait for you to see this before I order it." (you're losing money because you made a mistake - he made it sound like it was my problem).
I interrupted him and said "wait what? slow your roll here, I don't think I'm asking to much to see the stone before I agree to pay for it". And then he says "hey, if you're going to get butt-hurt because we made a mistake, take your business somewhere else, but you're going to wait 6 weeks to get a stone". (Which I knew was true).
So he ultimately assured me that the stone would be exactly like the other piece (because it's man made quartz and not naturally made granite) and that everything would be ready in 4-5 days. So as much as I'd liked to have gone somewhere else, I was stuck and agreed to move forward. So I show up to pick up the pieces and they rounded the wrong corner on my shower seat and hadn't finished the faucet cuts.
And tried to charge me $100 more than I was told for the shower seat. ($250 instead of $150.) So my contractor had to pick up the pieces the next day. He gets there and they still hadn't cut the faucet holes and had to come to my house the next day to cut the holes. Complete shit show. Some of this stuff I understand because it's busy. But the owner is such a.dink, lacking any minimal communication and customer service skills.
How someone can tell their customer that they are "BUTT-HURT" after someone on his staff made an error is just mind boggling. I also got the feeling that some of these mistakes were intentional after our little spat. Total fly by night feel to this shop. Prices aren't firm, contracts have a clause in it that says "no matter what is verbally discussed, only the items listed below are part of the pricing".
Just little stuff like that that makes you think. Steer clear. There are many other they will give you similar if not better products with the insults and will give you a more secure feeling.

Illona and Nick were extremely helpful as we re-did our entire kitchen. Illona came out to our house to help with a tricky layout, and was patient as we made final decisions. Nick spent a great deal of time with us in the showroom to help us select the countertops, and also came to us for counter measurements. Both explained, in detail, various options.
Due to the pandemic, production and instal was quite delayed, and communication during this process was lacking, but I must say that the final product was worth the wait. I love waypoint cabinets! Prices were competitive, and our kitchen is beautiful!

My wife and I have done 3 different solid surface kitchens with them. A true American business with the personal touch. Everyone I have worked with there I am very comfortable leaving the house completely open and they will lock up as the finish for the day. Nick, is great every time I have talked with him, providing experience and professional feed back when designing kitchens and color schemes.
This is especially when my wife and I don't agree. Ilona, is very professional and transparent when she picks up the phone. She puts a smile on my face when I call or stop it. I would say best small business in Syracuse.

Our new countertops arrived today, and we're thrilled with how they turned out! The customer service was outstanding-everyone was helpful and knowledgable--and we've been singing Nick's praises. Not only were our Quartz countertops of fantastic quality, but the price was lower than anywhere else in the region. What's more, they are one of the few companies who don't outsource the cutting--so they were installed several weeks (!) before we expected!

We are so happy with our new kitchen & everything Nick & Illona did for us. They helped with the design process - coming out to our house, creating and printing CAD drawings, being patient as we tweaked it all. The installation was quick and productive! All the cabinets were installed in 3 days! We did have a few doors that had to be re- ordered but it was no hassle!
We love our gray quartz countertops! The process & knowledge Nick showed as he measured & designed the new island was so impressive! They even tried to help us sell our old cabinets! We couldn't be happier!

I had a great experience working with Nick and llona. As homeowners taking on most of the projects ourselves, Nick provided great insight into material selection and options. The install was efficient, and we are thrilled with the final product. I would highly recommend anyone interested in supporting an honest local business to go with Countertops & Cabinets. (They even gave us flowers to put on the counters after the install!)

Great customer service from the start in the showroom with design help and material selection. Product came in very quickly and was delivered on time to my home. Countertops and Cabinets did the removal of my old and installed the new cabinets within a few days. I ordered some custom doors for an existing bathroom vanity that were too heavy for the hinges provided.
They made a special trip back to install the doors with soft close hinges and went above and beyond and drilled a few extras holes and installed my bathroom cabinet hardware. Waypoint products are great for the price and had plenty of options to design our space.

Great people to deal with. They were very easy going and helpful as we worked through our design. The waypoint cabinets are beautiful (Cherry Java). The quartz counters came out great and we are very pleased with the overall project. They had a lot of great feedback and ideas for us to consider as we worked out the design. Many items (like the big single sink) really came out way better then we even imagined.
They have a lot of great experience to share, but also listen to you comments. Ilona was very patient and thoughtful and Nick was top notch to deal with. We have done small pieces and a large kitchen reno now with them and the service was friendly and prompt in each project.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Not pushy at all. I would recommend just sitting down and even starting with them as they can figure out what works best for you and your project. Appreciate the help, knowing the timeline that I had (I was rushed with a hiccup from a current project), and everything they provided to me with getting it dropped right at my door too! Thank you!

I cannot express in words how happy my husband and I are with Countertops & Cabinets. We are nearing the end of our kitchen and bath renovations. From the first phone call to set up the appointment to come to. my home down to the day after installation, Nick Henry and staff were awesome! Thank you so very much. Will enjoy many, many years in our beautifully designed kitchen and bath. A special shout out to Ilona Kiss and Justin!
