Critical: Quality, Value 6 years old and finish Is going south and half of the slow close drawers r slamming shut not worth the money Service: Custom cabinet design & installation

Just finished our new build and Romar did our cabinets for our kitchen and our bathrooms. Did a very large built in in the master bath that turned out amazing! Worked with Rob Hayes and he was such a big help to me. I didn't quite know what I wanted but he brought my somewhat fuzzy vision to life with his help and design ability! Couldn't be happier with how all my cabinets turned out. Thank you Romar!

Terrible customer service. The staff is very dismissive and does not have any knowledge of their products. Avoid this business at all costs.

Purchased custom cabinets less than six years ago. Contacted Romar when the stain started rubbing off. Was advised my only remedy was to pay them $75 dollars an hour plus material and they would come out and remove the impacted panels which would need to be replaced since the stain had been sprayed on. Or, I could go to Sherwin Williams and see if they could make a matching stain.

Very disappointed since this was my second set of cabinets from Romar. My last home was 12 years old when I sold it and cabinets were still in great shape. Would think with any kitchen cabinet, especially custom, that one should be able to expect the stain to stay on them for more than five years. When I asked the tech to elevate my dissatisfaction to management, I heard nothing.

Romar did our entire home and knocked it out of the park. Rob was fantastic at getting back to us immediately and designed everything beautifully. They are dependable, efficient, and honest which is hard to come by these days. We will be contacting them in the future for all of our cabinetry needs.

They worked with us for 5 weeks on our kitchen project only to tell us at the time we were to finalize it that they didn't want to do it. Wasted a great deal of time for us. Fortunate we were able to find another company that jumped in to help us out

We built a home with a Burdelik builders and after just 1 year the the cabinets have wear marks all over them. The cabinets under the sink are separating on the edges and literally every single cabinet face in our kitchen is all marked up. Under the microwave the cabinet face it cracked and flaking. The finish is so thin that even spraying a little all purpose cleaner turned the wood white in one spot.

It's now been 3 years and I can't stand to even look at how bad the cabinets look. We have asked the builder several times to get in touch with Romar and have them come back but there has been no remedy. I would love for Romar to come look at the damage and offer is a solution.

It all started out as requesting replacement hinges for my 17 yr old cabinets made by Romar. They gave me the two I requested and when I installed them, they were especially wonderful because they had the "New Soft Close technology hinge door was updated now but now I had to have them for all my cabinets. lol So I drove to the south suburbs to Romar to pick up my "cash & carry" hinges.

Over 100 for $1.99 a piece! Fantastic! Easy to install and swap out with the old technology! While there, I waited and decided to take a looksie in their showroom. I noticed some great large pantry cabinets and cabinets I was thinking maybe I had room in my existing kitchen to add, which was short of enough cabinets for storage and to my great enjoyment I was able to add a garage cabinet finally!

After 17 years! Now having more storage space and the a wonderful match up to my existing cabinets, what they accomplished was amazing! You would never know that it was all the same after all these years the new match with the old cabinets! Great crew, thanks to Jim and Jeff especially, since he designed the additions and came out a couple of times. Great company and workmen-ship shows, well worth the price and reasonable too!

Wow, this company is run like a top. My sales rep Alex has been nothing but professional and accommodating. I screwed up on ordering cabinets before I checked inside my soffits (contractor to blame as well) and found out there were pipes in the soffit that were not able to be moved. Unfortunately, I had to pay extra to have Romar re work the upper cabinetry, ugh!

Even though I am paying extra for this mistake, I am so happy with the cabinetry and the service. I will refer this company to anyone looking for custom cabinetry, they truly are the best. Oh, also delivery guys, James and Paul were so prompt, covered my hardwood floors and were efficient and professional. Thanks to you guys my kitchen will be gorgeous! Ginny K.

I got my cabinets from Romar 5 years ago and couldn't be happier with them. We had a great experience with our salesperson and the quality is excellent. Ted, a technician, came out last week to do some adjustments to doors and replace hinges, due to normal everyday use. He was very professional and did a great job. I wouldn't hesitate to use Romar again.

Amazing company.fabulous quality cabinets. I cannot say enough about this company they have amazing sales staff and the best customer service. I will never go anywhere else for any cabinet work.

I have had Romar kichen cabinets in my home for 12 years. I recently had them design an additional built in pantry cabinet. The designer was very accommodating and gave me everything I wanted. The cabinet was installed, fit perfectly and matched my existing kichen cabinets exactly. I am so happy with my experience with Romar.

Beautiful work, well run office, impressive delivery crew. My console piece was very long and heavy and had to get through a tight door and down to the basement. Watching the team talk to each other so respectfully and cooperatively through that difficult process was refreshing. They were so naturally respectful of each other and of my home. The workmanship is beautiful. The office communication was also excellent. You an tell the company is run well.

We just finished having our second Romar kitchen installed and we just LOVE IT! The design process was once again a Breeze and I consider myself a "HIGH MAINTENANCE" customer! I texted my cabinet contact ( in both kitchens my rep was a Steve :) Kitchen 1 was Steve Janick and Kitchen 2 was Steve Thomas ) I know I drove them BOTH crazy with my Ideas coming from every direction and they ALWAYS took the time to explore how to implement and or consider EVERY angle.

Both times I had a really FUN experience and Both Steve's bent over backwards for me, I had their cell numbers, emails and attention when ever the mood struck me, to talk over an idea or design inspiration. The quality of the cabinets is VERY HIGH and we have had the BEST ( we have built with Tim Thompson and Northridge / Dave Knecht ) so THAT is saying something!

Our Current project was just finished is especially fun because we used Swedish antiques as inspiration and are painting it on site. Our center piece of the kitchen is a copy of a Swedish cabinet that has an antique clock housed in the bonnet. Steve Thomas helped us plan and design it ECONOMICALLY which we really appreciated! I really Love the cabinets in the Kitchen and the cabinets we did in the Laundry Room and Baths are EXCELLENT as well! ALL are unique and copied from Swedish antiques.

I visited Romar and saw the cabinets in the process of being made and was so impressed by the skill of the carpenters building them, they really put so much thought into how things would function for us. Remember we were trying to incorporate some unique design elements - so our project could have been a big pain in the neck for them, but, they were patient and excited to work with us! Are you picking up what I am laying down? I hope so, I highly Recommend Romar Cabinets :)

After moving in to a new house fitted with $60K+ Romar kitchen we had a problem where wood was splitting. After contacting Romar they response was that they were not responsible as the cabinets had been bought more than a year prior. They would not even come out and look at the problem. If you are thinking about spending a ton of money on a kitchen I suggest that you use a different company, maybe one that stands behind their product.
