We have had the Kitchen Kompact, Chadwood style cabinets for 23 YEARS. While doing kitchen remodel and reconfiguring space, we needed to match up these cabinets with a new 24" base and wall, (or find someone to cut down the existing 30" base and wall), allowing room for new refrigerator, or rip them all out and go back with new cabinets. Couldn't justify ripping them out, still in great shape after 23 years.was very happy to discover I could find an exact match from that long ago with a slight variation in color due to age of the existing cabinets. (I did have a cabinet maker tell me he could cut my 2 down, but it would be a long wait.) So, we went with a new 24" base and wall, and will paint them all this fall. Good, rugged, quality, affordable cabinets.

Do NOT buy cabinets from here! most especially do NOT buy Kitchen Kompact cabinets from here as the manufacturing quality is horrible and the supplier/distributer selling these will not stand behind these cabinets. The manufacturer will not stand behind them either. The cabinets will have sharp edges on the insides, tape and paint overspray inside in every corner and when removed the edges are so sharp you will cut your fingers or arm if you rub against these reaching inside the cabinet.
There will be rough areas on the exterior that look like bumps that are extra areas of dried paint, chips and dents painted with hanging pieces of wood painted. The inside bottoms of cabinets will not be finished and will be rough so you can't clean them. The cabinets will have lopsided drawers that can not be adjusted. They will have cabinet doors that are so uneven they can't be adjusted so will have to be removed, holes drilled, old holes filled and rehung.
Floor cabinets will have bowed areas so you can't get them level for new countertops. The outside walls are uneven or not plumb. And the supplier/distributer salesperson will not do the plan correctly leaving out filler where you should have a filler, will tell you that you can have a cabinet design and then provide something else while refusing to replace it for what was ordered.
And yes, they will tell you that it is expected for you, the buyer, to pay someone to repair the brand-new cabinets at installation. Their repair kit was and a marker that doesn't even match the paint color. After having to pay someone for over 8-hours of work to repair these cabinets, they can NOT be made to look even halfway decent. I have no option now but to pay for the cabinets to be un-installed, hauled away to a dump and am buying new cabinets elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT BUY CABINETS FROM THEM OR THEIR SUPPLIER/DISTRIBUTER! DO NOT BUY KITCHEN KOMPACT CABINETS!

Yes, they were cheap. I've purchased cabinets this cheap for rehabs in the past, and never received any cabinets THIS bad! I saw a lot of guys have just retired- was it their last day, or are the new kids seeing what they can do? Received 2 broken (shipping issue? maybe), and 1 badly assembled drawer. Bad stain jobs include dirt in finish, not evenly sprayed, runs AND void spots all in the same cabinets. SHARP edges will slice your hands wide open if you're not careful! Sent back one broken cabinet, only to receive one with a door warped so badly, they could not mount the hinges in the right spots, thus one end is opened significantly more.
That was by no means the ONLY warpage issue. They use anything, and everything(good quality, bad quality). Maybe great for a rehabber that's going to sell ASAP, but not recommended for rentals unless you want to change them as often as you change carpet. These are for our lower income rentals, and I will not buy any more. I recoated them with polyurethane before installing them to help them to last a few years. overall, very poor quality.
I gave you 2 stars, because they were cheap, and you had the sizes I NEEDED in stock. UPDATE: I've just added 1 more star for these cabinets, due to we had just purchased high dollar cabinets from kraftmaid for OUR kitchen. 5x the price, and just as many problems. Damages, reorders, and poor craftsmanship there too. Welcome to the new normal?

I got my cabinets installed right before the start of the Pandemic so they are not very old. On the whole, I have been satisfied with them. I clean them weekly following the care instructions and also immediately if I notice a spill. They are attractive cabinets. However, when I cleaned out my cabinet in the unit that houses the oven (three drawers below the oven and a large cabinet on top of the oven), I found the shelf had partially collapsed at the front of cabinet and was obviously sagging toward the center.
I contacted the company who assured me it was not a fire hazard, my biggest concern. They were quite responsive and did get back with me the same day. Still, I could not recommend buying the wall oven cabinet since it failed in such a short time. Kitchen cabinets are a big investment and with proper care one expects them and their shelves to last more than two to three years.
As for the other cabinets, they seem to be fine and I have had no issues. Just beware the wall oven unit. My contractor is coming to try to do a repair, but it is money that I didn't expect to spend so soon after having a new cabinet installed.

It's not often I'm delighted by a customer service interaction. I bought a complete kitchens worth of cabinets from Kitchen Kompact six years ago, via Menards. Just recently the plastic shelf of the lazy susan partially cracked. I reached out to Kitchen Kompact via the contact form on their website with low expectations. Within an hour they reached out to me and got a new part sent my way. I'm delighted.

We use these cabinets often in our rehabs and remodels. The price and quality are great! Even better than their great prices and quality is their customer service. I was in need of some parts for one of our cabinets that was ordered incorrectly and Bret was quick to respond and get me what i needed. Thank you Bret for your amazing customer service!

I couldn't find replacement parts for my Kitchen Kompact cabinets anywhere. I messaged this company and got a very quick response. The customer service is very good. My cabinets are 28 years old and still look like new ones. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for cabinets and good customer service. Service: Cabinet repair

Incredibly disappointed in the quality of the cabinets. I had seen their work before and was excited to use them in my current remodel. After sending back the doors numerous times because they weren't completely painted, I was informed by Josh, production manager, they are not able to completely paint their cabinet doors. I highly recommend you consider other cabinet companies when choosing cabinets. Being able to see brown wood on the faces of white cabinet doors was unacceptable for me.
