This past month I have been searching for a Jennair 48 Gas Range throughout the entire CA and NV and in speaking with John @ Ben's Wholesale Appliance in Sales he said I have one on the floor in stock and will check with our management if we can move it since it's been on the floor for a while. After a day or so, I reached back out and instead of them playing the supply & demand game with recent COVID situation and overall shortages they decided to ensure I was cooking for the holidays.

I bought a built-in refrigerator and gave them a $5000.00 deposit. It was promised in two weeks. That date passed and I had to call them to find out what was happening. For some reason, the available item was no longer available, and we would have to wait 6 weeks for our refrigerator. I canceled the order and requested a refund. It took three more phone calls and over a month for them to return my deposit.

I want to support a local business but in all good conscience I will not write a positive review. Not only was I told to buy the wrong refrigerator, but there was no attempt to correct the situation. And the salesman lied about what he told me to buy. I came to the store with a designer, for a second set of ears. She supports my review. The refrigerator doesn't fit the space and the installer that Ben's endorsed did a poor job. I won't make that mistake again!

Ben's appliance has outstanding customer service! They were committed in helping me with every step of applying for the burn cleaner program rebate to helping select an insert that clearly was needed for warmth. Their recommended installer also did an amazing job with installation and cleanup. I cannot commend the entire team enough (especially since I am very picky, and came back multiple times for changes and questions). After the install, I was even surprised with a small gift from the staff at Ben's Appliance that I never expected. Forever grateful in finding this business.

Rob at Ben's Appliance helped me with a fireplace insert. Explained in detail how the different inserts operate and also the procedure to request a clean burn rebate. After qualifying for the rebate, Rob helped me with the paperwork. Ordered the insert I wanted and when it arrived, Chris delivered it to my home and installed. What a great experience, I can't remember the last time I was helped from beginning to end with a project that went so smoothly.
Both the seller and installer were very courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely professional, plus the insert is beyond what I expected, easy to operate and absolutely beautiful. I would return to this company for future home improvement needs without hesitation. Liana M.H.

Our house we purchased had a monster of a wood burning stove in the hearth that couldn't be used. With all the no burn days and desire for a working fireplace, a gas insert was the only real answer. Price is fair upon shopping around and $1500 in rebates ($1k appliance and $500 install) helped a lot. Should be installed before end of the year, update to come.

We ordered a gas fireplace insert from Ben's Appliance on 11/9/18. Rob our salesman was very professional and knowledgeable. He informed us of the $1,500.00 refund from the San Joaquin County Burn Cleaner program and submitted our application right away. Rob called us as soon as the insert came in so we could get it installed before Thanksgiving.
We contacted Chris Steele from Steele Plumbing right away. He too was professional and very knowledgeable in installing inserts. As promised, he installed our insert in a timely manner, before Thanksgiving. The remote was on back order, but Rob called as soon as it came in. We again called Chris Steele to have him set up the remote. He came out and programmed the remote in a timely manner.
We are very pleased with the insert as well as the way Ben's Appliance handled our transaction. We would gladly recommend Rob from Ben's Appliance and Chris Steele from Steele Plumbing! Moe and Diane F.

After shopping in different cities for what we thought was the perfect fireplace, we made the mistake of buying a fireplace insert from here. $6000.00 later.there were parts missing and I had received the wrong andirons. I tried calling them and never received a call back, I even tried going to the manufacturer, but they said I had to go thru the dealer to get my missing parts.
I ended turning Ben's Appliance into BBB (better business bureau). Ben's Appliance finally called and admitted to ordering the wrong part saying they were off by one number. They said for me to bring in the one I had and they would exchange for the one I wanted. I have no tool to take off the front and never did (one of the parts missing).
One of the persons of whom Ben's referred to install the fireplace happened to have the part to install and remove the front window. Long story short. I still don't have the andirons I wanted.which I guess don't really matter anyway because the insert doesn't stay lit and keeps going out.

What a scam, terrible customer service. I ordered a double oven and a refrigerator. When it was installed the fridge was actually a counter depth. I never knew they had different sizes of depth when it comes to buying a refrigerator. I called the salesman John and said this is a mistake and I will pay restocking fee to order the correct size. He said oh ok, I will have to call LG and will call you back.
One week went by, following week I call and talk with him he says. You need to call Amanda at LG gives me her number. Took me over a week to hear back from Amanda at LG. She said no, you need to call the business where you bought the appliance from. So I called back John, he played dumb and said oh, ok I will call you back need to make few calls. Heard nothing for over another week and half.

Think twice about using Bens Appliance for a gas fireplace. I am a retired veteran and I know what good professional service is, I am still waiting from this company. It has been 2 months since we purchased the fireplace and Chris at Steele Plumbing was recommended as the installer. We are no closer to having it work than when we bought it. The product has broken down twice and now a factory rep needs to be called and they are nowhere to be found.
Neither Ben's Appliance or Steele plumbing has ever followed up with us on this situation unless we call them and then we still do not get any resolution to how this will be resolved. I will keep you posted on this nightmare.

Go elsewhere Ben's Appliance has terrible service I had problems with my gas insert after the first week of installation Ben's waited until it was out of warranty had to buy a part but they ordered two it took 6 weeks to get the part in just in time from Spring weather when I returned the part that I did not need it took 3 weeks to get a refund check

Stunning, breathtaking incompetence. Terrible terrible terrible place. Just got our final appliance replaced by Best Buy. Washer, dryer, pedestals, stove, and refrigerator. Bens messed up over and over again and misrepresented their service and products. Fortunately they took everything back after a long long battle and a lot of grief. Save yourself a lot of grief DON'T GO TO BENS.

I started a Yelp page just to give Ben's appliance a review I recently purchased a new property and started looking around for appliances and I seen Ben's appliances Facebook page and figured I give it a try let me just say I was beyond pleased with the prices and they called and informed me when my appliances have arrived and we set the delivery date around my schedule I highly recommend going here and giving it a shot. Ordered a griddle for my Thermador Range in December of 2016. February 2017. and no griddle. I was originally told one week, then the next week, then the next. My numerous phone calls were never returned. Dave, the order desk person is never available. I was told the griddle, would be picked up on Wednesday February 15th, now on Friday, no griddle.
They will pick it up next Tuesday. No thanks! Cancelled my order. We purchased several appliances last summer here, $12,000 in total, will never set foot in the store again. Certainly would recommend to anyone considering appliance purchases in the future to go to Best Buy, stay away from Bens and save yourself the frustration. If a zero rating were possible, I would award it to Bens. Worst customer service period.

Horrible horrible horrible place! Do not buy anything here because their installers stink! So when the product is bad you are just screwed! In the day Ben's was the best but no longer. Don't waste your time or money. The last two fireplace inserts we've bought from them ( not cheap!) have been bad. So disgusted!

Horrible customer service! Ordered a gas insert fireplace May 22nd 2015 and dealt with weeks and weeks of delay without return phone calls. Sales Guy Rob was never available and always had a different story. When it finally arrived today the item was a two year old model and items were missing. The safety screen! They tried to tell us we didn't need it! Met with Sales Manager David today to express our frustration.
He says he will talk to owner John Osbourne and make it right today. They've got one chance to make this mess right or we are returning the item and taking our business elsewhere. For good.

On Nov. 19 we visited the showroom to purchase a range and dishwasher. Our salesman John was helpful and we paid for our products with our credit card in full. He advised that in 1-1.5 weeks (because of Thanksgiving) we would receive a call as to when we would like delivery of our items. After 2 full weeks and not hearing from them we had to call to see when they were planning to schedule the deilvery.
Only after we made that call did they inform us that the items were on backorder. After another week of waiting and no further response or update on the status of our order we called again. They informed us they were in transit. Then we called in the middle of that week and they were "at the dock". Then they "can't deliver them because their truck driver is sick", then he was "in the bay area", then the "dishwasher isn't available becasue it hasn't been unloaded yet".
Its just been the run-around with these people. We have offered to go to whatever warehouse they are sitting in and pick them up ourselves but the lady- Diane said she would call back when they were available. No calls have been made to us from Diane. Now we are at the close of another full week and 19 FULL BUSINESS DAYS from the date of purchase and we STILL do not have the products we paid for.
This company shows no willingness to "make it right" and no sense of urgency to get the issue resolves (they do not return phone calls, do not call back when they actually say they will, and don't even answer the phone during their stated business hours--We can not get a hold of ANYONE to check the status) We are completely dissatisfied with this company and have seems like Jean M's review is very similar with the customer service issues and lack of willingness to fix issues. We will NOT be doing business with Ben's EVER. again.
