My bathroom remodel started on 3/14/2022 and I was told it would take 1 week to complete. The first issue was the wrong size shower door was ordered. I was told it would take 2 weeks to arrive and they would expedite the process. It took over a month for the door to arrive. I was then told that the installer was on another job and I would have to wait. (The job was paid in full).

I also discovered a leak in my basement. I was told that this was our responsibility and "things happen". I had to call a plumber out and pay the invoice. The plumber said the installer did not tighten the pipes and it caused the leak. We were stuck with paying the plumber invoice. When he came to install the shower door they discovered that the wrong size shower door had been ordered AGAIN for the 2nd time.

The installer tried to go Lowes and buy something to "make it work". This is very unprofessional and it doesn't live up to the companies reputation (so I thought). I explained to them that I wanted professional work because I paid professional prices. When I called the company to ask for updates on my shower door being delivered, they acted like I was bothering them.

They never called me on their own with a update. They had no compassion, nor did they care that I had been waiting 3 months for something that was their mistake. My door was finally installed on 6/13/2022. 3 months for a job that was to only take 1 week. The company never called and asked was I satisfied with the work. No apology for my experience. NOTHING!

I never spoke with them about my final issue because I was scared that my bathroom wouldn't be complete. The installer smoked marijuana at my home on two different occasions that I knew of. My children even smelled it. One of the times it was so bad my entire upstairs smelled like it and I had to leave my home. I work at a correctional facility and I was so scared that the scent would get in my clothes before I went to work.

My husband didn't want me to say anything until the job was complete, because we didn't want any more issues with this company. My experience with this company was horrible and I pray you find another company for your needs. This was the 2nd time I used this company, and the first time was good. I'm so disappointed in my experience. I hope this helps someone

My mom has KraftMaid cabinets that are around 10 years old and they are in Toffee. She had a 40 stove when we redid the kitchen that finally died in 2021. She tried to find a stove to fit the space. Finally gave up after accidentally having a custom 50 inch stove made (not sure how she did that really but kinda funny). We talked to Modern Home, I gave them the information on what size cabinet to order and the door style.

They had to match it because Toffee is discontinued and in place of trying to match the countertop my mom suggested a small butcher block. Modern Home sent someone to my mom's house. They took 1 drawer face and an old, gnarly looking piece of chopping block my mom has had in her basement that is older than I am back to their office. They installed the cabinet and chopping block today.

I could not have been more surprised. The cabinet is a nearly perfect match to a discontinued color, it does look a little different but that is easy enough to explain due to the situation and the age. The chopping block looks brand new. They must have put a ton of work in to it to get such amazing results. I could not be more grateful for the care the took in doing this for my mom. She was heartbroken at the prospect of having to redo her kitchen again so soon.

I Took dimensions in to Modern Home Kitchen & Bath of a kitchen that we were remodeling and wanted to get cabinets for. After about 2 weeks we called to see how they were coming and were told that we would be called back. We never received a callback so after another week had passed we called again. This time we were told he was with a customer and would call us back, once again we never received a call.

Very frustrated we called the beginning of the 3rd week and were once again told that they were busy and would have to call us back Needless to say we went somewhere else and got cabinets and have installed them already and we STILL have never received a call. The kitchen being redone was a smaller kitchen and I'm not sure if they didn't think we were going to spend enough money to be bothered with us, but a simple "I'm sorry we don't want to help you" would have been better than us wasting 3 weeks of time to get our kitchen finished.

Cannot get anyone to return our calls so that we can start our remodeling process. My husband and I are very disappointed with the lack of customer service.

Critical: Professionalism Would not recommend. I have nicks in my wall and nicks on my pantry door with installers being careless installing cabinets.

My bathroom is beautiful! Dave designed and installed exactly what I had in mind. The bathroom was gutted, new fixtures, tile and lighting installed. The cabinets were custom designed and built per my desire. The crowning touch are the bamboo walls that were built to create the Zen atmosphere that I desired. I am very pleased with the whole experience and would recommend this business.

I used this company to find laminate for my island to match my existing kitchen. I was informed by the lovely ladies in the office it was discontinued. I was so disappointed and the ladies could obviously tell, well they told me not to worry they will find something. Well 2 days later I got a call from them saying they had searched high and low and found me a sheet for my island!

They made me my countertop in record time I believe a week max? The service was so wonderful I returned to purchase flooring, they ladies were so knowledgeable about all the floorings there. I did explain that I had my own installer and they were more than happy to help me and my installer along the way. 10 out of 10 best experience!

From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience with MHKB. Going into a remodel during COVID was a bit nerve-wracking but Dave did a great job making us feel comfortable and confident and got things started in a timely manner. He was responsive to all of our ideas and helped us come up with a great design for our space. The contractors were professional and so kind to my 2 year old triplets I had running around. Aleesha was always available to help with any questions we had and any unforeseen circumstances that arose during the reno was taken care of quickly and professionally.

We felt treated like family and recommended them to my parents who are now scheduled to have two of their bathrooms re-done by MHKB. Can't wait to use them again in the future! Always support local businesses!

Just a few of the horrid looking Cabinet doors. This is the fourth time changing cabinets door that were bad from the beginning. They just keep bringing more bad ones! This is one year after We started this September 2019. One excuse after the other. And now they're using Covid for there excuse of why it we still have 9 bad doors! Its a night mare. We should've seen the red flag when they wanted 100% of the money upfront. I think we've been more than patient.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE this company! Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in all my years. Their design consultation was terrible and resulted in a shower design that is close to unusable. Additionally, they ignored my major concern and installed an incorrect platform which will lead to water leaking outside of the shower when used.

Instead of making the necessary corrections as they claimed they would, they treated me with utter disrespect, with the attitude that I should shut up, and accept what I got. They required 100% payment in full prior to start of work. This should have been a red flag! It leaves the customer helpless when the work is not completed correctly or to your satisfaction.and this appears to be exactly what they want!

They clearly have no interest in a job well done, nor do they seem to be concerned with my dissatisfaction with the finished product. The installation is a complete disappointment. The work included a custom made barn-style shower door which was installed backwards with the decorative feature facing the inside of the shower NOT facing outwards as intended.

When this issue was brought to their attention, they acknowledged it was incorrect and said that most people wouldn't notice. Several attempts have been made to work with them to resolve these issues and to date they have done NOTHING to make this debacle right! The company has not returned phone calls and is not a reputable business. The only reason they earned 1 star in this review is because you cannot provide a review with the MINUS 5 star rating they deserve. Please be warned! Do not let this company take advantage of you!

The woman that showed us around in store was nice but the guy that was supposed to do the estimate in home was argumentative.
