Jim was excellent to work with. He delivered product as promised and communicated every detail. Jim was timely every day and did an excellent job. We replaced all cabinet fronts and drawers as well as replaced the countertops with Cambria Quartz. We love our new kitchen!

I had Jim and the team at Affordable Kitchens remodel my kitchen in 2009 (cabinets refaced and granite countertops) and was very satisfied. They completed the job in 4 days. My only "complaint" is the finish on the cabinets is thin, leading to dog scratches on cabinets. In 2012, I was so satisfied with my kitchen that I had them refinish my two full baths, cabinet refacing and granite countertops.beautiful work. Sad that one wrong employee would impact such a conscientious business. I'm very satisfied. Brent

I give these folks one star only because I can't go lower. This is one of the absolute worst experiences I have ever had with a company. Their work, though they claim to be custom, was anything but custom. The owner, Jim, claimed to have 20 years of experience installing tile. He took less than 8 hours to do 28 square feet of tile back-splash, and the completed job looked as though someone who had never tiled before did it.

When called out on his sub-standard work he left mad, refused to stand by his work, and refused to return email messages. The drawers his company constructed were garbage. No tongue and groove, and the bottoms were stapled on. Within a week I had the bottoms of three drawers come off. The drawers, when finished and installed, were crooked. The refacing material started to peel back within 10 days.

Save yourself the frustration and find someone else to do your remodel. Jim's work in my house showed that he has no attention to detail, no real custom skills, and absolutely no pride in his finished product or willingness to stand behind it.

Let me start by saying, I wouldn't have even given them one star, but it won't let you write a review if you don't highlight at least one star. And while I would love to leave a book of comments highlighting the nightmare I endured with these people over the last six months, I don't have that kind of time. So let me just say.if you are contemplating using Affordable Kitchens, run.don't walk to the nearest exit. (And in the interest of protecting the innocent (not the owner), I am leaving out the names.) When I first met with them to look at the job, the owner told me I would be working with one other builder/installer and himself, but that the other guy was the master craftsman of the two, and he was clearly right. Sadly, when the owner couldn't make payroll, the other guy had to go, which I wasn't even told.

After weeks of asking where he was, but not getting an answer, the other guy finally called and told me. Unfortunately, I didn't see any of that coming, nor was I aware of the number of other clients that were suffering the same fate. The other guy had completed about half of my cabinets before he finally had to quit several weeks after the owner promised to make up the back payroll he had already been working without for several weeks.

The result.half of my cabinets look great, the other half I will have to have fixed. Among other things, the angles are off and the glaze looks terrible. I had to text and e-mail him multiples times just to find out if he was going to show up that day, most of which went unanswered. When he did show up, it was for an hour or two before sneaking out the back.

I never knew when he had left, and I work from home! Toward the end (which couldn't come soon enough) I had to beg him to supply the crown molding that was absolutely included in the quote, but that didn't stop him from trying to wiggle out of it. In the end, he did bring it, but refused to install it. Now I know why. HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW! And if all of that wasn't bad enough, after already paying him twice what the work was worth, I had to pay the balance of what he owed the fabricator to keep them from putting a lien on my house, because.wait for it.he didn't pay them with the money I had given him to do so! Seriously.build them yourself if you have to, but do not go to Affordable Kitchens.

You will find out, as I have, that they are everything but affordable. As the other two reviews covered as well, they are flaky, unreliable, untrustworthy, and worst of all, will leave you looking with the time consuming and expensive task of finding someone else to come fix the mess they made! Looking through old reviews, it may have been a good company at one time, but trust me when I tell you, that time has absolutely, and "unaffordably" come and gone for Affordable Kitchens.

After searching and price comparing for quality product and professionalism we were so happy in our decision to choose Affordable Kitchens! Jim personally came out, brought samples of all products (not just higher priced items), which really helped us feel comfortable with his honesty and integrity. He is not just excellent at install but helped me actually design my kitchen with color, texture, and sophistication all within our budget.

What I was most pleased with was his ability to demo and install without damaging anything else in my home which has been difficult to find from a contractor! We look forward to having his company complete both our bathrooms soon as well! Thank you Affordable Kitchens!

Horrible. Was supposed to be done in four days and took four weeks! The installer was a flake. Would come and go and barely work while there. The owner would do nothing. In the end the kitchen looks okay but it was a nightmare to get it done and they held up all my other subs. The main reason I went with them was because they said they could meet my timeline and budget.

In the end it would have been better to get someone who really met the timeline and didn't waste my time and energy. They also made quite a mess and did not contain their dust as promised. Actually they didn't really live up to any of the sales claims. I felt taken. My bad for being trusting.

Im not sure if a company could look this bad if they were trying. The guy, chainsmoking, worked 3 hours a day on the days he actually showed up, was trash. He was such a big man he waited until there were no men in the house to curse out my mother. He did a horrible job. The kitchen cost over 10grand to be redone and it looked better before then it does after he completed the work. In a 2 week span he missed 4 days of work, and the longest he was their was 3 hours per day. The guy is garbage.
