Huggy Bear exceeded our expectations! Svitlana measured perfectly and ordered exactly what we needed. She had great suggestions for design, and was available for questions throughout the process. The quality of the cabinets is great and we love that they are made here in Portland. We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen! The wait time was a little longer than expected (had hoped for 5 weeks but it was more like 8, which is still short compared to other companies we looked at.) I recommend Huggy Bear to anyone looking.

This company is the worst. Stay away. They took months longer than promised, without any accountability. They delivered unpainted, unfinished cabinets, scratched and defective cabinets, unvarnished drawers, and for the pantry, no shelving. Stay away from them. They refuse to take any responsibility for any of these issues and are blaming everyone else. I will be forced to take them to court. save yourselves the hassle and money, because they're way too expensive for the awful product they produce.

Seriously, working with Viktor & Pavel was one of the best experiences in my kitchen remodel. Do yourself a favor and visit them after you went to Ikea and tell me who is in the kitchen business. The best money spent is here hands down. Thank you both. One year later and I pinch myself every morning I walk into the kitchen. I called Huggy Bear for glass cabinets for our built-ins. They had been recommended to me by another cabinet shop. Not only did they call me back immediately, they answered every email on time. Victor took on the project, and even though it was small compared to the projects they normally do, he was so attentive to it. He would update us on where they were on the cabinets and actually got it done ahead of time.
Because our house was built in 1924 and "settled", not everything is perfectly symmetrical and it required extra time to measure, fit, etc. I suspect that Victor is a perfectionist because he took a lot of time to get it just right. The result is absolutely beautiful and I cannot express how impressed I am with this company. They are very professional and determined to get every detail correct ( even things I wouldn't notice) correct

We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel right now, and Viktor has been incredibly helpful to my wife and I. We have had about 5 meetings to decide on finishes and materials, and Viktor has proven himself to be gifted in the art of kitchen design. While not the cheapest, We went with the full plywood cabinets. I will post pictures once the remodel is done.

Three years ago I was excited to start searching for a kitchen remodel. I chose a design consultant who was design teacher at local community college. I trusted her as I too am too was a teacher. She was representing Huggy Bear Cabinets. Trusting her, I proceeded further. In the end, I have cabinets that are NOT SQUARE! Thus the doors don't close properly, I have drawers that don't close like they are supposed to.
And one that has chipped paint, when there hasn't been anything to explain the chip. When the cabinets arrived my contractor (whom I've used for 4 other projects, ) alerted me to this problem. Then within this process he discovered, the cabinets were one color of white, and the doors another. UGH! We contacted the design rep, she was appalled. Said she would talk to them.
They sent a smart alec as a supposed expert. He referenced himself as "The Cabinet Magician!" I sat there as this arrogant man said, "He never talked in-front of the client, he never let the client see the product until he had corrected all the mistakes, and the job was finished." Obviously, I didn't move. He proceeded to tell my contractor, and the designer that the glue may have slipped in the truck on the shipment.
I requested new cabinets, there was no way they would agree to that. Obviously the pervasive culture of the management is that of arrogance, and the customer is ALWAYS WRONG. This ridiculous smart alec proceeded to say he was surprised my designer was still here. He said, "Typically when the cabinets are delivered, you never see the representative again, they are gone!" This young man was so arrogant and stupid and just loved to hear himself talk, he had no idea how he just threw gas on a burning fire.
The sum total was, that it took 9 months to get any semblance of order to this remodel, which should have taken 6 weeks. (Three of my neighbors did a similar remodel, and not one of them took more than 6 weeks.). I had to pay another rep from Huggy Bear to match the color of the cabinets to the doors, because the management refused to make it right.
He told me he was "less than impressed when he walked into this mess!" I had so much money in it at that point I couldn't walk away. Two of the drawer fronts came in wrong style, they were re-ordered, and of course they came in the wrong color, supposedly the rep/designer was reordering, and it would be expedited. Two years later, I'm still awaiting the drawer fronts. My advice would be, if you can get cardboard boxes, it would be a better choice than Huggy Bear Cabinets. DCL

We installed custom made Huggy Bear cupboards in 2013 in our kitchen, wet bar, master bath and guest bath. They are of very high quality and have been the source of many compliments over the years. We particularly like the self-closing drawers and doors. Their design staff is flexible and helpful. We also trimmed our fireplace in wood that matched, creating a very striking effect. We would use their products again in a heartbeat.
